Bonnie and her cakes are amazing! The minute we met her, we just loved her energy and professionalism. She prepared several things for us to sample and had her portfolio for us to browse. All of her cakes looked gorgeous and tasted divine. We were curious about one not on the menu, and she made us a complimentary sample cake to try. She really goes above and beyond. We knew immediately we wanted to order from her. We had no hesitations. We ended up ordering a champagne soaked white cake with layers of strawberries and a cappuccino mousse cake. They both were so delicious and came out gorgeous. At the tasting, she also sketched out the cake and gave us pricing info. I will say that her prices are very reasonable and came way under budget. She even advised us to go smaller and she was absolutely right. Delivery was complimentary and it arrived on time at the venue. There were zero hiccups. I highly recommend Bonnie for your cake needs. You will not be disappointed.

Bonnie was awesome and my husband and I are so happy about how our wedding cake turned out on our big day. We scheduled a tasting with her and she drew out a sketch of what we envisioned our wedding cake to look like. She made recommendations and sent us home with the rendering without any pressure and we felt like we had a chance to think it over before making our decision.Ultimately, we felt like we didn't need to schedule any other tastings or appointments and we never regretted our decision. Bonnie was super friendly and easy to get a hold of throughout the entire wedding planning process. On our big day, our wedding cake arrived - flawless and exactly how we wanted it. I'll admit that I'm not usually a fan of wedding cakes (they're often too dry and boring) but I'm so glad that we decided to have one for our wedding! We ordered two flavors -- Poppyseed with Lemon Curd and Almond Orange Blossom -- and they were perfect. Moist, flavorful, and interesting. Our guests couldn't stop talking about the design and flavors of the cake as well. To top things off, Bonnie offers to bake you a mini anniversary cake for your one-year! I still have eight months to go but I can't wait to dig in!

If you are wedding cake shopping I'd say look no further! Our wedding cake turned out more perfect than I even envisioned it. It was flawless and exactly what we wanted. Okay, full disclosure time. The proprietor, Bonnie, is a personal friend of my wife and I. She did a fantastic job on our wedding cake (the tilty, orange, whimsy cake shown). When we cut into it, there was a collective "Noooo!" that went out from everyone who had admired it all evening. Bonnie has been voted Best Wedding Cake four times running by Seattle Bride magazine. Hands down the best in Seattle if not the US. We went to all the usual haunts for wedding cakes in Seattle. After many mediocre appointments and two awkward ones (Mike's Amazing messed up someones cake and another who was completely unprepared), Bonnie was a breath of fresh air. She was very friendly, thoughtful, creative and patient. She even made us a mini sample of our cake before we agreed so we had peace of mind.Bonnie is great, delivery was on time and we had no hiccups on our special day.Thank you New Renaissance Cakes!!!

Mendoza Wedding: What a way to begin the first chapter of our lives together. From the on-set of our first meeting with Bonnie, we felt extremely comfortable knowing that we had somebody that was so easy to work with. She was super friendly and listened to every idea that we had and designed our cake EXACTLY like we described it. She gave us tons of options and made sure to follow up with us before our wedding date to finalize details. Without any hiccups, she communicated with our caterer and showed up on time with a beautiful cake. She was even able to duplicate our family crest and place it on our cake as part of our design (See Photos Below).Best of all, my wife will remember this cake and her experience for the rest of her life. I cannot thank Bonnie enough for creating our perfect wedding cake. Each step of the process was streamlined and easy to navigate. Bonnie was a fast and thorough communicator. I got exactly what I'd hoped for and exactly what we discussed, thanks to her great attention to detail. The flavor was superior and the cake was clearly made with care and top quality ingredients. I noticed the buttercream frosting was not overly sweet, just right! I even had a guest text me days after the wedding, asking for the baker details. Of all the yummy flavor options, I went with a classic vanilla bean cake and we did the top tier as lemon filling. So decadent. If you're looking for a wedding cake, go no further! Bonnie did my wedding cake 8 years ago and I can't believe I forgot to write a review back then! I still dream about it all these years later and have spent so many hours in the kitchen trying to replicate it. Like other reviewers, we sampled cakes from different bakers all over the region but none of them compared. In fact, we hesitated to even contact Bonnie because at the time her fee was slightly higher than the others we tried. However, each cake we tried was either too dense or too bland or too dry. After being disappointed with the others, we finally reached out to Bonnie and boy, we are so glad we did!Everyone at our wedding raved about it being the best cake they have had. The only thing I'm upset by is our caterer failed to follow the cutting guide and made each slice too thin, so not everyone could enjoy the deliciousness to its full extent! But I digress--that was not a Bonnie problem. When my sister got married, she immediately asked who we used and without even trying other bakers, she hired Bonnie. I was so thrilled so I could get another taste of her craft. This past weekend I made a small cake for a friend and it was nowhere near as good as Bonnie's. Years later, I compare every cake I bake myself and every cake I taste from others to the very high standard Bonnie has set. Of course, none of them never quite hit the mark. I'll just have to keep recommending Bonnie to my friends as they get married so I can continue to enjoy her product. :)
