This place is awful. Terrible service & inattentive staff! Was there on a Wednesday during the so called happy hour. Only one lady working who knew a little English and was the bar tender as well. We were the only ones there & she took over 25 minutes to come to us. The ambiance is meh. Very dirty and definitively not cleaned well. Floors look disgusting. Terrible SUGAR SALSA like a gallon of high fructose corn syrup in it. This place is a no BUENO.

Steak fajitas were excellent. While I like the heck out of Superior Grill, it's safe to say I enjoyed these a bit more. Mom had the taco salad con camarones and her dish was very good as well. I know cause we traded a shrimp for a piece of steak. Our server gentleman was pleasant with the best attitude. We'll be back...

Tried Zocalo for the first time last night and thoroughly enjoyed my meal. Although, I didn't drink. They were offering bottomless margaritas for their house margaritas. A deal they have every Thursday! I ordered three tacos (two fish and one shrimp). These tacos were delicious with the shrimp being my favorite. The batter was crispy and the shrimp was delicious paired with the mango salsa and sweet chili glaze. The tacos were three for $19 and came with beans and rice. Overall, a great meal. I am always looking for more Mexican restaurants and this one will definitely be added to my list. I will be back for the tacos and margaritas!

For being in the south it's descent "Mexican" food. I went on the taco Tuesday, $2.99 per taco isn't that much of a deal and the taco offerings were very weird. I was shocked to not see carne asada on the Tuesday menu! That's like a Mexican staple! The Chicken Tinga tasted questionable, the pescado taco was also off tasting. The Suadero and Piccadillo was the saviors ... I'm visiting from Los Angeles, so I have high expectations for a taco Tuesday, and honestly meh. I can see how the locals like this but if you're a visitor looking for Mexican cuisine or something with a Latin flair.. I would pass

Visited Zocalo for Taco Tuesday and they had some of the best tacos I've ever eaten! The 2.50 tacos are a great deal so I tired 4 tacos. The tinga and chorizo tacos were my favorite! I originally ordered 3 tacos but had to ask for 1 more! We did get the mango guac an an app and although it was small and did not come with chips, the tacos made up for it! My friend also has a seafood allergy so we got some bell peppers to use as chips. They had some of the best bell peppers I've ever put in my mouth!! They were so fresh -- crunchy and full of flavor! I will definitely recommend this place for tacos!!

Bottomless Margarita + Carne asada = heaven! Zocalo was all around impressive from the service, to the food, to the drinks. The location is a bit unassuming and like many places in the area parking is limited (but they do have a nice size parking lot across the street). The wait staff is nice, quick to be seated to begin your tasty journey. We didn't get an appetizer but the chips and salsa are delicious, some of the best salsa I've ever had. We I visited there was an option for not to less margaritas which I happily accepted since two house margaritas quickly equals the price of bottomless and I can typically drink 3 or 4 if I'm pacing myself so it's a great deal! For the entree I did the carne asada and my wife did the birria tacos. Both were spectacular, cooked and seasoned perfectly delivering an elevated authenticate Mexican experience. It is a little pricier than your typical Mexican restaurant but I think it's reasonable for

My wife and I went to Zocalo for the first time. The first thing is the environment which I felt was comfortable and spacious and an over all great feel. I ordered the Short Rib Barbacoa and a side of the MadurosMy wife got the shrimp chimichanga The food was excellent, both entree's were full of flavor and prepared perfectly. The Maduros (sweet plantains) possibly the best I've had around nola. The service was excellent too, very efficient, friendly and never imposing but always alert. Our experience was great I hope yours will be too.

Food was decent, but the portions are laughable for the price... tiny bowls of queso and guacamole, 2 enchiladas for a dinner portion. I won't be back, I'd rather get twice the amount of food at somewhere like don jose or El Paso.

Found this cozy looking spot on Google, my fiance and I thought we would broaden our horizons and try something new. When we walked in,we weren't greeted and nobody was in sight. Double checked the sign did indeed say open. I attempted to get the attention of some staff in the back, was ignored. We gave it a few minutes to see if anyone else might walk in. The bar was unattended and a ipad is visible. If this was Nola, that iPad would have grown a pair of legs. It's unfortunate because this looks like such a beautiful spot and we were excited to try the margarita flight. Made our way across the street to Felipes. You have got to try the quesadilla fries.
