Worth the wait/weight. Flavored edamame w garlic butter, Shrimp hibachi dinner, and salmon sushi just tops off a long day. Now add root beer to the equation, and you get a good night. The root beer here just hits different (if you read my past reviews you can see that root beer is a common theme with me). Overall, it was a "zen" night.

Zen is my favorite sushi restaurant in the tri-parish area. The food always comes out amazing. The care put into presentation and overall flavors hits my soul. Not only is the sushi amazing, but the in-house made hibachi from the kitchen is some of the best around. Even the clear soup is a notch above. Give this place a try!

Service is not the best and slow. But food was great! Margarita roll probably one of my favorite rolls from anywhere. The omg bun is awesome. Wish it had more meat. The Cajun bao was ok. The tonkatsu was different than what I'm used to but was good and filling. Def better than the rating suggests. Would go again.

I have NEVER had a bad experience at this place and always enjoy the food of any kind I have tried. Its DELICIOUS! The Houma roll is the absolute BEST to me! EVERY ONE FROM THIS AREA.... TRY IT! You will love it! The 3 Meat combo Zen Fried rice is absolutely delicious too! I ordered to pick up today 12-16-22 and as always, GREAT FOOD! & FRIENDLY FAST EMPLOYEES ! THANKS!

Great sushi, especially for down here, but the service is a big problem. I only go if I know I'm gonna have 2+ hours free, cuz the waitresses only come around once every 20-30 minutes, and the food doesn't come out for an hour. And when you look for them, they are just hanging out by the register chatting. If they could fix the wait I'd probably bump it to 5 stars.

It's was just ok. I got the garlic butter edamame for an appetizer, definitely missing salt, wasn't bad just wouldn't order it again. Husband ordered the OMG roll he loved it, said the steak on top was really good. I ordered the KAMIKAZE (wasn't that hungry and wanted something light). It just fell apart, the rice wasn't rolled right enough had to just basically pick up pieces at a time (from each cut) and eat it like that. The coconut shrimp inside was way over cooked and extremely dark. Overall wasn't bad, just would go out of my way to eat there again.

I've never had something bad here٫ the birds nest is the absolute BEST thing I've ever had in any sushi place٫ the zen noodles are delicious٫ the steak bao buns are great but sadly only come with 2 lol and the sushi is also great. Every time I come back to town I make sure to go at least once٫ I REALLY REALLY wish I could get the recipe for the zen noodles and birds nest
