This mural is located on the side of the Queen and Cresent Hotel and across the street from the Hale Boggs Federal Building and Courthouse. It was painted in 2011 by an unnamed artist and serves as an advertisement for the hotel and Zatarain's. It is a very nice mural that overlooks a parking lot. It has withstood the test of time and is still in decent shape. The mural depicts a Zatarain's logo the silhouette of a man playing the clarinet against a red background and the words "Jazz it up with Zatarain's" and a "New Orleans Tradition Since 1889". It is a simple, but nice mural. It catches your attention. There is metered street parking and paid lots available nearby to park and get out to take a closer look. You could also get a good look from the windshield of your car doing a slow rolling drive by.Anyway, as with most murals I have reviewed, this is not a very long stop. I was there less than 5 minutes. You should consider planning out additional stops at many of the other wonderful attractions in the area, such as Lafayette Square, to maximize your time and trip.
