Young's Garden Chinese Restaurant

This place is the OG SPOT for Chinese food, I love their crab Rangoons. I used to grow up eating the food here and they are still the same but very busy at times, as they are packed with lots of takeout and calling orders.

Great food. Had the orange chicken and wife had the beef with broccoli. They give you enormous portions as well. The service is horrible. They seem like they could care less if you are happy or enjoyed your meal. Very rude.

Truly love this place, beautiful atmosphere and the food is to die for. The same people have run this location for many many years and I honestly would say this is the best Chinese food anywhere in metairie and kenner

The service here is horrible. The supervisor "Tu" does whatever she wants and allows her employees to do whatever they want. My grandmother walked into this establishment and ordered orange chicken with a plate of lo mein. They explained the orange chicken is not on the lunch plate menu. It comes by itself. So she asked for a sesame chicken lunch plate then with a plate of lo mein since she couldn't get the orange chicken as a lunch plate.They decide to give her a lemon chicken plate and also decide to make my grandmother pay for all three things,not just the two she ordered, but their mistake as well. I called to speak to supervisor about this and she was very rude and hung up in my face not once but twice. Out of respect for my grandma I did not get back ugly with her. As my grandmother comes here often for business and says herself that they are rude. The environment has a lot of tension with phones ringing off of the hook. We are from Laplace and she only likes this specific take out compared to all of the places in Laplace. This review does not even deserve one star considering their service is horrible. The supervisor is horrible. I don't care how good their food. They should've not done just what they wanted but have fulfilled the customers wishes/ what they paid for.I know this bc when I FaceTimed my grandma to tell the lady I clearly said sesame chicken and she was trying to show me a picture of some chicken without sesame,asking "this chicken?" I told her no "sesame".Even after getting off of the phone they still brought my grandma the wrong chicken. They went and changed it on their own as one of the workers had realized the worker was handing my grandma the wrong chicken again.Which my grandma asked me to please not call the restaurant again. That they were fixing it. The first picture is of lemon chicken. Something no one in my household has never even ordered. Second picture is of their actual sesame chicken.

It's been a while since we've been. I recently called in our usual of chicken and broccoli in spicy garlic sauce, an order of pork fried rice and crab Rangoon's. This has been my order forever. As of 6/17/22 , it's pick up only. The food quantity is MASSIVE!! The fried rice alone must have been over 3#!!! The prices have gone up but it's still worth it. We fed 3 and 2 the next day!!

The food is always great it such a shame that the employees are so unfriendly and rude. I visit this establishment once a week and have never once had anyone say thank you. so as much as I enjoy your food, I cannot go back.

This place is a throw back to old time American/Chinese food. I ordered pork fried rice to go and 6 people could have eaten it and still had leftovers. The dumplings are really good. I got the fried ones, which was odd for me but they were perfect. Slight crunch but still a little chewy. The pork stuffing was very flavorful. I have since been back a few times trying something new each time. I can't finish this without mentioning the sauce for the dumplings. Killer, says it all. I put that stuff on the rice and couldn't stop eating it the first night I ate leftovers.A little pricey with apps going for 9 - 13 $'s and entrees $16 - 30 with most entrees in the high teens. But the portions are huge and the food is really good. Just not fancy.

The restaurant environment is very comfortable, the food is good, the service is also very good, cho cho and honey shrimp are my favorite food!

Never again will a give this place my money! Fook them! I called at 8 15 put a to go order they close at 9 keep in mind, I get in my car and drive from Saint rose to Kenner to get the food, I pull up, only 20 minutes after the order, there closing the metal doors! With 2 other cars outside. The person in there car was also puzzled! I road around the back and watched them bring bags of Togo food to a car, then I see the rest of them come out and I pulled up in there drive way, and asked about my order, and she tried to look innocent and say we close it was too late , well why the F DIDNT YOU JUST TELL ME ITS too late on the phone !!!!??? So I cursed them out! What a waste of time! Their food is a hit or miss anyway! Horrible customer service and I really would like to know where JULIA is, the owner, because she wouldn't be allowing this crap.

Horrible service! Do not go here. They are very disrespectful and do not treat African American people well. They think they can talk to you in any kind of way. There's always a problem with the food and service.
