An extremely interesting look into the dark side of life in New Orleans in the late 1700s! Donovan, a trained historian and lifelong NOLA resident was an excellent tour guide. Not overly dramatic or forced, this tour focuses heavily on painting the picture of what it was like living in the epidemic period of the late 1700s and sets the stage for visitors to understand the catastrophes that could lead to a haunting present. This tour lasted about 2 hrs and involved 1.5 to 2 miles of walking. The route is a bit difficult (large potholes and broken sidewalk - typical for French Quarter NOLA), so be careful with older visitors and youngsters. This tour was definitely interesting enough that I'm interested in researching and reading more on this area and it's paranormal stories.

My wife and I had a great time learning about the (cruel, sordid, horrifying) history of the New Orleans French Quarter! It's fun walking around the city safely at night, learning about various buildings, their tenants, and the events that shaped their lives. Donovan was a wonderful guide to New Orlean's past, to which he transported us via his wooden history walking stick.

The guide was very good as far as telling the stories but the program was not good. 4-5 stories only compare to other places......
