Man man man! This Beef Yakamein was the best I've ever had. I originally wasn't a big yakamien fan but this place made that change. The broth was so flavorful perfectly seasoned and had the right amount of spice! I can only imagine this on a super cold day it will be the perfect meal. The beef was real tender but it still had a nice bite to it, it wasn't falling apart I really enjoyed that. The noodles had the perfect the chew was amazing they were cooked really well. The only down fall is they ran out of eggs I was shocked! The service was pretty good the young lady was really nice, and the food came out in 5 minutes that's always a plus! I was really amazed I will be back to explore the menu!

YakamiYakameatYakamein Call it what you want, but this chicken yakamein at was so good.I was in the area and said why not since Tam Loves to Eat raved about it.This unique creole soup can be found all over the city and is an example of the blending of cultures in New Orleans. Rooted in a time when Creoles and Chinese worked side by side, this dish comes in many variations.Enjoy!

Excellent food, friendly service. The dining area and bathroom were very clean. Even though the space is fairly small, they can fit a lot of us in there. We dined in and enjoyed the atmosphere so much that we stayed for over an hour. My chicken pho was well seasoned and hardy. The egg was perfectly cooked with a soft yolk cooked at the perfect temperature. I'd had Yakamein House for takeout and was even more impressed with the food in person. Before we left, we decided to try the praline poundcake. What a rewarding decision. We LOVED that dessert. I'm not even big on poundcake and I would order it again.

I tried this place after constantly seeing it on social media and this is one of the places the internet didn't lie about. The food was good! Well seasoned and full of flavor! YES BROTH!! Not a bunch of seating inside but they do have a few tables. Counter staff were knowledgeable and friendly.

This Yakamein is sooooo good to me. I went back to back in June and July...... I even brought a whole group of friends in July 30 to try it. We all in the food. It was great serving that we all were full and most of us couldn't finish it.

Let me start by saying I absolutely do not like yakamein!! But this!! I just won't turn down trying something new..so I heard about this place and decided, let's go here for lunch! They did NOT disappoint! I ordered the shrimp yakamein..now it's a little pricey if you ask me..ijs but don't let that stop you..it was $18.99 came out to like $22 for that..it's came out quick and hot..they have somewhere you can sit inside and eat, also a drink machine is in there..music was playing and the cashier Morgan was super friendly..my type of place! The yakamein was so darn good! It has a lil spice to it, but nothing a true New Orleans person can't handle..it had so many shrimp & 1 whole egg cut in half!

I saw a few social media videos advertising Yakamein House, so I had to add it to my dining itinerary for my NOLA visit. There were a ton of options on the menu, and I finally chose the shrimp, beef, and chicken bowl. You get a lot of food per portion size, definitely enough to share or save for another meal. All the flavors worked so well together. There were tons of meat included in the dish and I appreciate that my boiled egg was cooked hard with no runny yolk. I enjoyed my bowl so much, I visited Yakamein House a second time before I left the city. This would definitely be my go to restaurant if I lived in NOLA.

First time to this fairly new yakamein and po-boy restaurant. I read good things about yakamein and I have been looking for place to regularly get some old sober.I believe this may be the answer. I ordered the beef and chicken and the flavor profile was very nice, i could tell the soup had simmered for a while to gain flavor. The umami flavors were my favorite part and when I bit into the chicken there was a hint of sweet.I say we have found another queen of yakamein in town. We have room for 2 great women with 2 great recipes. They let me sample the sweet potato pie and it was very good and i would recommend that if you want a sweet treat afterwards. They also brought me a sample of the shrimp. It was seasoned well, but the shrimp was bit over. With less cook on the shrimp it would be nice.In really enjoyed the owners and talking with them the staff are friendly and helpful. The serving size was more than you get at Jazzfest so I can see why they charge more than some may like. It will easily be 2 meals for me. And it would great to share 2 different soups or a po-boy.They also have different salads regular and the special Yaka-mein po-boy. A person who ordered this said it was very good.I look forward to my next visit.
