I can't co-sign on the "great little park" reviews. I can co-sign that the people are really nice and friendly. It is a nice park with seating. Some is on the far end of the park ( where no one sits) and the rest is under trees --where everyone sits or stands. It's a small park next to the neighborhood playground with no separation between large and small dogs. The area has a large amount of dirt. It fine if it didn't rain recently, otherwise it's muddy. Overall it's a nice park but it depends on what your needs are

We enjoyed the neighbors that were out there. The dog area leaves much to be desired. It's spacious for the dogs but not taken care of. The potential is definitely there. The rain brings in a huge mud puddle which no dog can resist!! It was great for what our dog needed but not very much grass. There is a hose that needs to be replaced. It could be a great park with some tlc.

Over the last year the condition of this park has deteriorated significantly and it is now CONSISTENTLY FILTHY and unkempt. At all times, even if it's the middle of summer and there hasn't been rain for a week, there are three large, green, smelly mud pits that are never filled or attended to by staff. These holes with standing water are a health hazard (bacteria, mosquitoes and such) but also a nuisance for dog owners to keep their dogs out of. There is no shade and only a few patches of grass. In addition, the wash facilities for the dogs are kept turned off. There are hoses there but no way for us to use them. I've seen many patrons now brining their own "keys" (purchased from the hardware store) to turn the hose on. Some dog owners will routinely use the adjoining baseball field for their dogs, as it's well maintained with cut grass and no standing water puddles. It's a shame that the neighborhood had to wait so long for a park that is so terribly maintained. There are no other off-leash parks anywhere close which encourages dog owners to use "illegal" spaces for their pets such as open parks and baseball fields. I've been hassled by police for doing this, even with a fixed, registered and well behaved dog. The efforts that the city puts into bullying/ticketing dog owners who use those illegal spaces is useless if they fail to provide decent and legal off-leash parks for our use.

Honestly, this dog "run" probably only deserves 2 stars for the facility, but the people, dogs, and surrounding neighborhood give it an additional star. The park itself is L-shaped around a baseball field and basketball court and is probably 70% dirt and 30% grass. When it rains it turns into a huge mud pit, which my dog LOVES, but me... not so much. Despite the lack of maintenance, it is free so it is hard to complain. What I really like about this park is the people (and obviously dogs). When you come to this park, you feel like it's Cheers, but instead, everyone knows your dog's name. There are many regulars that comes at various times during the day, but if you are looking for the busiest times, 7-9am and 4-7pm you have the pre and post-work crowd.

This is the closest dog park to where I live. I actually was introduced to it by some mutual friends that like to take their dog. I have two retired racing greyhounds who are generally lazy bums but do like to stretch their legs when they are not hogging my couch. This place is conveniently located and offers a kind of 'double' gate that lets you have a holding area for your dog when entering the park that makes me feel like there is less of a chance of an unexpected escape should the entrance door be left open. The people I have met that go here are all dog lovers and it is fun to talk to people and swap stories about our hounds. Another thing that is great is that they offer a dog water fountain. My one gripe about this place is that it has a lot of areas that become extremely muddy and nasty whenever it rains (or has rained in the past few days) and even if your dogs don't typically get dirty when they all get together they all seem to love getting as dirty as possible. That being said, as long as it is dry it is not a bad park.

This is a review of the dog park.It is nice there there is now a section of this park that is specifically dedicated to a dog park. The double gate system makes it easy to get your dog into the park safely. It is always nice to have somewhere you can take your dog off least and allow them to run around and play with other dogs. There are benches for people to sit on and water fountains at either end of the park. The dog park is very small though for the number of dogs that are there at peak hours. The middle of the park is all dirt and the drainage is poor so there is a lot of mud when it rains. There is also very little shade at this point so it can be very hot.

My dog loves this park. It's not very big but I don't mind it because I like to keep my eye on my dog. It needs to be kept up a little bit better though. It seems like the people in the neighborhood have to keep it up more so that the actual city. There's a good kids playground too which I like. It gets the job done to get your dog to run around in a closed in space.

Love this place! It recently went under construction so now there is a dog run! Usually pretty busy with dogs and their owners in the morning and all afternoon. Also the basketball courts were renovated and I believe the baseball field renovation is almost done if not completed. And as the other review mentions, there is a separate playground for kids to play that remains relatively clean and quiet and usually has a few kids and their parents in it. Definitely a good place to bring your children, pets, or even your whole family!

Great place to hang out on a beautiful day. Whether you're looking to shoot hoops, play baseball, tire your lil tykes out on the playground or let your pup roam free in the dog run area, there's plenty to keep you busy. It's all clean and well kept.My energetic pup Milo is a big fan of the dog run. There are usually at least a handful of other dogs to run around with. There are a few trees to provide shade (mostly for the dogs) and benches to provide relief for the humans. Milo and I are especially thankful for the water system in place to keep all the dogs hydrated. *Dog Park Pro Tip: If your dog has a tendency to bite the heads off of others... stay at home.*Dog Park Pro Tip 2: If you're an overprotective pup parent that doesn't like for your dog to interact with others of its kind... stay at home (and think about getting a cat instead).Find the balance, people.
