It's definitely not a supermarket. They had one option for dried pasta and like a can tomato sauce option so I wasn't impressed with that. The dried pasta didn't even look appetizing so i opted for a bunch of random things instead as I was hungry and not impressed with other options in the area after staying nearby . I gave 2 stars because it at least came through with a wine brand I like and it was within walking distance of our hotel. I will say they had a large liquor selection and wine selection as far as I could tell. But we certainly couldn't find food for meals for our hotel kitchen for a weekend by any means.

Prices are just too high. The place is very clean which is worth somethingThe employees are 50/50. The younger seemed to be more polite the older are rude and barely speak.I go there to get bottled water when I'm waiting on the streetcar.

Even if it's 10 in the morning or late at night I can count on Williams being open. Great people and the chicken is great after drinks in the FQ

Its much more of a convenience store than a grocery and the biggest sellers here seem to be alcohol and lottery tickets. Its a bit larger than your usual convenience store and they do have some produce and food items that your usual convenience store won't carry but the prices are on the higher side. I usually end up here for lottery tickets or during Carnival to grab drinks during parades. They're typically inconveniently closed by 8pm and I would recommend going slightly further one block down to Zara's on Prytania for a better experience and better prices on most items. You also typically get to deal with drunk bums panhandling outside this location.

If you live near Williams you surely have gone there a couple of times just because it was close and going to Walmart or Rouses seemed like climbing mount Everest. The place has a little bit of everything, and the beer selection is decent. However, the place is pricey and it closes early.go ahead.be lazy.go to williams.I know I do.

An unremarkable convenience store with a hidden gem: a sandwich shop with remarkable sandwiches - a great money saving alternative for tourists! We were visiting NOLA from out of state, checking out the garden district, culturing ourselves and such, when I got a bad case of munchies. I usually never go to convenience shops, but we were very short on time, so I thought I'd just grab myself something wrapped in cellophane. Instead, in the far back, against the back wall, I found a sandwich shop. Let me tell you something: I ordered a beef-and-swiss,and IT WAS YUMMMMMY! The wait was a little longer than I would have liked, but they cooked my meat on an actual skillet before serving it all for about $6. Priced like Subway, but SO MUCH BETTER, WOW! My parents are visiting NOLA next week, and I am sending them to this sandwich shop.

Williams is not a great supermarket, but it's a good corner store (more "Circle K" than "Rouses"). They do have the the virtue of keeping good hours for this type of place and being reasonably clean with an attentive staff, but the selection is barely above that of a 7-11. There's nothing wrong with that; it just isn't really a full-fledged grocery. Just so long as you ignore the "supermarket" moniker, you'll be fine shopping here.

I was in Baton Rouge Louisiana for a wedding & a few girlfriends & I migrated on to Nawlin's! The lodging was at the Wyndham Property Avenue Plaza on St. Charles. We were there from Saturday-Monday night and on Monday we asked for a recommendation on Red Beans & Rice. The sales associate mentioned a little whole in the wall at the back of the corner market about three businesses down from the Timeshare property. We took the advice, entered the supermarket, walked to the back and we were greeted with a smile! The price of the Red Beans & Rice was $3.75 and the Styrofoam container was rather large. We took the food back to the courtyard at the Wyndham property & we were not disappointed at ALL. Best southern food ever. I will definitely recommend this supermarket and I am going back in the fall, so I will plan to be in Nawlin's on a Monday.

Wonderfully place. Mainly a convenience store, but they also make chicken there. Very clean store with wonderful people. We came in and wanted their chicken tenders, even though they had a full case, they offered to make us 25 tenders fresh. They also have some fresh fruit. Given the rest of the neighborhood is 'translational', this is really your option if you don't have a car.
