I attended a private candle making class with wicks nola and it was so much fun. I learned a lot that I didn't already know about candles and the process of making the candle and room spray was so much fun. She included games. Tiffany was a great teacher and host. And I love the way my candle turned out!

I love this place! So clean, aromatic and inviting. The mask protocol is on point too, which made me feel safe about my shopping experience during the height of the pandemic. The scents are absolutely heavenly. You can tell they put a lot of love into scent creation because the scents smell really premium. They sell candles with wooden wicks, hand sanitizer and linen sprays named after awesome New Orleans inspired things. Southern Decadence and Gris Gris are my favorite. I could totally see myself hitting up Wicks NOLA to get gifts for out of town friends. They would love these high end candles and their names. Months after visiting, and I'm still enjoying the wonderful candles!

I loveeeeeeeeeeeeeee it here... have you heard of LOVE at first smell? Well, it's real, I can attest to it. This place had me upon my FIRST WHIFF!!! I mean you can smell the fragrance even from outside the door... no lie, go see for yourself. This spot brightens up the whole mini-strip mall in this area. I tell you it looks out of place because of the drabness of the area, but WICKS NOLA is truly the BRIGHT SPOT on the block. Once inside, you will feel like you've been transported into a field of beautiful lilies!!! I mean, what is that I smell, lavender or is it jasmine or is it that cotton linen smell??? No matter, its UTTERLY DELIGHTFUL!!!!! I am a minimalist, so I love clean lines, empty space, contrast and all that jazz... and the decor here is so pleasing to me. It looks like a page out of Cosmo, hello WICKS NOLA, y'all sell candles & do interior decor... if so, please come to my house. I could have bought ONE OF EVERYTHING, EVERYTHING, EVERYTHING (in my Katt Williams voice). Every time I picked up one candle, took in the fragrance and fell in love with the name; I put it down went to smell another and fell in love with that fragrance as well. Love that they all have very unique and distinct names that a representative of imagery or customs or things in New Orleans and the fragrances are all just as distinct... I think in my mind and I wonder what more can she do, everything is absolutely perfect, simply amazing; I love it, love it, love it. How intuitive & creative to name the fragrances after things here in NOLA that are commonly know & also near & dear to our hearts. Allllll of these items are great gift ideas for the local & those abroad; it gives a greater appreciation for the customs & heritage of THE NOLA. I have used the room/linen spray to freshen up my bedroom sheets & inadvertently, now, the whole room is fragrant. And the fragrance LINGERS, do you hear me... I still smell the scent even 4 days after spraying it on my bedroom sheets... ummmmmmm hello, I have just found a replacement for burning incense sticks. The design of the candles, linen sprays, hand sanitizer is divinely inspired... all things made PERFECT in Him (Jesus that is). I plan to return as I know my friends & loved ones will enjoy any of these items as a gift & will put them to use as everyday household items. Kudos to you WICKS NOLA; job well done.

Obsessed with this #blackowned #womanowned business!I had been introduced to Wicks from a few friends and when I had my first scent, Gris Gris, I was immediately hooked. The scents all tie into New Orleans culture, heritage, events, and the city itself. When I finally went to their brick and mortar, I met Tiffany who is the owner and curator of all the scents. I was pleasantly shocked to learn not only do they create candles, but oils, wax bars, room and linen sprays, and hand sanitizer!Pricing was great and I even discovered a few new ones including NOLA Housewife and Brunch & Booze. Take some time to explore the scents and there's even coffee beans to clear your scents.

Such a cute little shop and a very friendly and informative shop owner. Love the local NOLA specific names like the one that references pot holes and water mains. Lots of different scents to smell. I think I spent 45 min trying to smell them all and figure out which one I wanted. Very hard to pick just one. Fun fact: you can bring back your used glass candle dish and they'll wash it out and you can refill it for a discount. Love that!!

This place is scents heaven. As I was walking up, I could smell the lovely scents coming from this darling little shop. Layla was very helpful. Since I love scents that are less fruity and sweet, she suggested the Melanin. My Goodness!!! This scent smelled like love, peace, and healing. I loved the fact that they company uses wooden wicks and soy ingredients. I ended up getting the Fleur de lis for my aunt as a gift, she loved it. This is the perfect place to get New Orleans themed gifts. There were room sprays, diffusers, and my favorite, hand sanitizers. I am definitely coming back to get more things for myself and as cute gifts. The reed diffuser and room spray is a must for my classroom.

scent-sational #BOBDropped in and Tiffany, the owner/founder, was at the desk of this new store/HQ. She mentioned she's from Kenner and wanted to make sure her footprint landed near home.First, there's hand sanitizer right as you walk in the door. Everything just smelled SO GOOD, and she had a special running in the store that I didn't spot online. Tiffany was super helpful with sorting out the scents for me, and you could get them in different sizes, oils, spray, melts, etc. I can see (or smell!) now why they've been getting so much hot press. I also appreciate the clever naming and descriptions of the different items.I'm also excited about some potential products and collabs coming down the line in the coming year.(If you're curious, I got the Nola Bougie and the Atchafalaya.)

Love this shop!! It is fairly new; it just opened in December 2020. It is a great addition to the Kenner riverfront. All the scents are very unique and there are a lot to choose from. The owner can help you pick out some favorites based on your preferences. I told her I wanted some that were more spicy than sweet and she picked out House of Chakra and Namaste in New Orleans in the room sprays, both of which I really enjoy! I got Congo Square and After the Rain candles which were both really nice too. Would highly recommend making a trip out to Kenner to visit this gem!

This place is so HOT... and the candle are slow burning!(due to the wooden wicks and soy ingredients the candles actually burn slower!) there are so many creative scents from candles to essential oils. The owner is always creating new scents and coming out with them so check-in often! The mayor even voted for this business and there is an adorable candle dedicated to her! Must stop into this adorable shop for all your scent needs!

I found this lovely candle and scent shop as a Yelp Elite perk, and it was well worth the drive out to Kenner in the rain. The shop is beautiful and smells like heaven! I lost track of all the fragrances available as candles, room and linen spray, reed diffusers, and hand sanitizer. They all have NOLA-influenced names, some descriptive of the scent (Chocolate City, Bourbon Creme Brulee) and others not (King of Carnival does not smell like a parade route). The candles have those cool wood wicks that crackle, and smell delicious without being overwhelming. The young lady in the shop was very sweet and welcoming, and prices are very reasonable for this sort of merchandise. Some of my swag bag is going to a friend for her birthday, so I'm looking forward to coming back to replace them.
