Visited this location on 03/07/20 While spending a few days in NOLA, we did lots of walking and shopping for quirky and different things. Walked into WhatsNew and found them having lots of souvenirs items and yet they had different handmade creative items throughout as well. Wound out getting a small magnetic mask for my parents fridge ($4) and a Creole one ($4.5) for myself which had lovely colors.

Very nice shop and friendly staff! I was on vacation visiting NoLA and I came across this shop. They had a Jester sculpture that I really liked and wanted for my Mancave. It was a really heavy piece over 30lbs. They advised me they had a brand new one in the box and they can ship it to me. We worked out the details and I received it with no issues. Will definitely revisit them when I visit NoLA again. Thank you.

This is an amazing shop with wonderful NOLA items and absolutely beautiful gifts, many handcrafted by local artisans. Most importantly, it has Dani as an employee, with whom I had one of the best customer service experiences of my life (no hyperbole: she was terrific).I bought a handpainted cake plate to hold my annual "king's cake" at Epiphany & Mardi Gras celebrations. I was so excited about the beautiful detail and opted to ship it to my home in Boston, MA. Much to my dismay, though, UPS completely botched their delivery and my cake plate arrived broken.HOWEVER, despite our distance, Dani was with me every step of the way in submitting a successful claim through UPS. I thought that I would merely get a refund, but she reached out to the NOLA sculptor who had crafted my plate... and by sheer luck... the artist was working on a new batch! Dani sent me pictures of her progress, and I was so grateful that I'd still receive my beautiful NOLA keepsake. When my cake plate finally arrived, Dani and her crew took abundant care to make sure that no damage would again occur, enclosing tons of bubble wrap and writing messages such as, "Hold this as if it were YOUR family's heirloom." She even enclosed adorable fleur de lis napkins (gratis) and a kind handwritten note.I HIGHLY recommend this store, whether you browse or buy. It has something for everyone, and its customer service is top-notch! THANK YOU, DANI! :)

I bought a beautiful crystal alligator from WhatsNew in December of 2020, and about a year later, I dropped it. I called the store to try to buy a new one, but it was during the supply chain issues and they didn't have any at that time. I called again and they took my name and number, and they called me back when the new shipment came in and sent a new one to me. They were so helpful and friendly, and I am grateful that they took the time to keep track of my name and number to reunite me with my favorite souvenir. It's a lovely store with great items. Enjoy browsing and shopping!

Walked in a few days ago and wow talk about the worst customer service EVER!!!!!! I walked in few months back asked the employee if they had a rams neck less for my grandmother!! She owned a rams farm back home and loves rams!! She at that time told me NO we need to leave. I asked WHO DAT me?? We did nothing wrong just asked if they had a rams neck less that's all. I was very sad and left with a broken heart. It's almost liked she wanted us to leave with something broken O well. We won't be coming back here my buddy "Nickell" was also upset

This store stocks many items. Last year I found a bunch of cool dishes to match my daughters teachers collection. This time I bought just a Bamboo and beaded purse and some funny signs. Many items in the store have humorous sayings. We always come here after stumbling in early 2018.

We stumbled across this store on our very last day in New Orleans. It has a ton of local items from local artists. We had been looking for a Christmas tree ornament to remind us of our trip this year. We found a wonderful hand painted ball ornament. We also found some wonderful coasters too - handmade with skulls on them. They be great reminders of a wonderful trip. I highly recommend this store for locally made, affordable gifts and souviners!

Nice things in the store but lady has a terrible attitude. Doesn't want to help unless your a local and was disgusting towards us. Refused to help with anything. I put back what I wanted and left due to her attitude alone.

I liked this shop! You really have to skim through so many gift shops to find one that don't have total crap. This was one that had some nice gifts that you'd want to bring home, even for yourself. I got a nice candle that smelled like red beans and rice and a p. Sounds silly but I was getting desperate after walking forever looking for gifts. Awesome
