Vyoone's is definitely a must try in the Warehouse District. Not only is the space full of New Orleans charm with a gorgeous courtyard with string lights strewn throughout. There's two levels to the restaurant and the entire space can be rented out for events. Vyoone's has hosted weddings, birthday parties, corporate events and more. The food is beyond delicious as the menu is inspired by French and Afro-creole recipes from the owner's mother's kitchen. My favorite items include the famous French onion soup, the crab cakes and crawfish beignets. The desserts are also the absolute best- my favorite is the bread pudding and then the peach cake. The service is A-1, the owner is onsite frequently and is always checking in with guests. It's so lovely to have such a personal touch. I can't wait to go back for more of the menu.

This is a cozy and charming French spot in the Warehouse District, convenient for visiting conventioneers like myself. The restaurant has a smallish dining room and bar, a lovely outdoor courtyard and, I believe, private dining rooms upstairs overlooking the courtyard. The entrance is via a cute walkway past the dining room. Vyoone is the (female) owner/founder's first name. The cuisine is French with some Creole and Afro touches. Longtime waiter Spence assisted greatly in choosing what to order. I started with the crabcakes and French onion soup, both were pretty classic presentations done very well. My entree was the Duck a l'Orange, a confit duck leg and thigh served over a mushroom bread pudding and asparagus with an orange-ginger sauce. Again, tasty and classic. The peach upside down cake was a nice finish. There is a sizable cocktail and wine list, but I had a mocktail instead. The courtyard was a very pleasant dining location.Spence was great, the staff who actually brough the food less so, saying nary a word. Overall a pleasant meal within walking distance from my hotel.

Came here because I heard they had best crab cakes and it was really good! We also got the craw fish beignets and they were so good. Would recommend ask for extra sauce. We also got the scallops and it was great as well. Also the entrance is beautiful! I would have given it a 5 stars except for our waiter. He was not very friendly and made a mistake on our bill and did not apologize. I really loved this place but our waiter did not make us feel welcome. The bar tender and the host were great!

"Off the path excellence"Looking for something more local and non-touristy? This place will welcome you when you tire of Bourbon St and Frenchman Ave and want something friendlier, different and away from the hoi polloi. What's to cheer- Great seating options - up, down and intimate courtyard. - Award winning French Onion soup- Good escargot, which is hard to find in NOLA- Solid duck and scallop dishes- Really personable service - good wine list What's to jeer - Appetizers are better than the entrees - A little pricey- salad has waaaayyy too much dressing

A very beautiful place to dine in and to enjoy with friends Went to New Orleans for business trip and I saw the great reviews. This me and my colleague went for a try. Very good service. The food is yummy too. I like the baguette, very crunchy outside yet soft inside. The duck confit is crispy yet soft inside. The sauce is on the sweet sideVery great dinning experience

The best French onion soup in New Orleans. All dishes are authentic French. Helpings are generous and very moderately priced a true treasure of New Orleans. Make sure you have reservations. Your crabcakes were superb where they among the best.
