My husband and I stopped by Voodoo Chicken & Daiquiris after midnight on a Saturday morning. 4 out of 5 stars because the service was slow. The place is a casual sitting. At the time, there was 1 staff member who took meal order while 2 others cook. There were customers in queue out to the sidewalk! One customer placed his order at 12:04am and didn't receive his food until 12:50am! It was approximately 40 minute wait for our food and all we ordered were a box meal of chicken tenders with fries and sodas! Despite the wait, the chicken was so flavorful! No sauce needed.

Aesthetically the place calls you in with the colorful sky cloud and bold neon. The food just isn't memorable or flavorful to be worth the price. Took a moment for someone to come to the front but at least we enjoyed the clouds.

The chicken had great potential except for it was very dry overcooked or under the heat lamp for too long the batter they use taste good except for like I said he had a really chomp on it and then he didn't get nothing but dryness so with that said, I would probably be past load of chicken if I was walking down the sidewalk again

We stumbled in here drunk and hungry on our way back to our hotel for a final drink and some chicken. It was really, really late night almost early morning, but there was a decent line of people. I'm sure dealing with a bunch of drunk/hungry people at that late hour is no easy task, but the workers were pretty patient. The chicken, gator bites, and waffle fries were just decent and got the job done. The Voodoo Funeral drink on the other hand was definitely the highlight and was the last thing I remember that night...if must've been pretty fricking strong because I don't remember how we got back to our hotel! There's a million places just like this in the French Quarter so I'm not sure if I would ever go out of my way to deliberately come here, but I guess I wouldn't mind somehow stumbling in here again the next time we're in the area!

This baby cup of gumbo is $8 and the most basic chicken tenders for $15. I've never felt more cheated.

Update to the business owner: It ain't even about the price. The fact it being $50 for the food to be disgusting is the reason. If it was $50 and it was good, that's a different story! Cmon who doesn't know New Orleans is expensive? Hello hello near bourbon street and on the French quarter!! Old chicken, old fries, mushy jambalaya, rude workers, etc.I can't see what the hype was about. The food was old and everything tasted burnt. The lady at the front who took our order was also rude. We ordered the two piece, crawfish pie, jambalaya and 6 piece wings. It came to almost $50. Definitely not worth it for that price. People must be way too drunk thinking that this place is good.

My first food stop while in NOLA. After checking in to the hotel and dropping off our bags, we were looking for an afternoon snack that was walking distance from the Hyatt. There's lots of chicken and daiquiri options along bourbon but we ended up at Voodoo, mostly because we could see the chicken was hot and ready. The shop is small and the music is loud because duh, it's a party all over Bourbon St - even in the middle of the day. Didn't bother me, but I did have to ask the cashier to repeat some stuff because I didn't hear her the first time. We got the 4 pc mixed chicken meal deal and 6 pc hot honey wings (no fries included in that so we got an extra side of waffle fries). Prices feel pretty high for what you get, but I guess it is a touristy spot so that makes sense. The chicken was pretty good though and has a nice kick and the hot honey wings were HOT! They've got daiquiris ready at $17 for 20 oz or $21 for 32 oz. We got the classic big easy ritas and phew that's a creeper. So good you don't even realize how much you're drinking.Food came out pretty quickly when we went and I saw this place getting packed later in the evening. For sure a solid spot for drinks and food on a night out on Bourbon!

I understand that this place is on Burton street and so they are going to charge a premium, but almost 3 figures for two chicken tender meals, and two drinks is outright insane. The chicken was okay, typical fast food chicken nothing special. The music was so loud we had to shout our order at the lady who was taking it. (She actually had to stop it temporarily to hear us) this made it impossible to have any conversation at all. Overall, I would not go back.

Yummy quick spot to grab food while on Bourban! Definitely try the slushies, they are tasty! The biscuit was delicious and I am a die hard fan of waffle fries and these were a winner! The chicken did not disappoint either
