The people were nice, once they quit talking to recognize me. The clothes were Town and Country for older people (and I'm middle age). Once I saw a shirt, yes, a shirt, priced at $308.00, I was out.

Expensive...and that's fine, but after spending $800, my wife tried to return a piece she didn't like the next day. That when the excuses started. "It has a stain". Nope. The owner didn't want to return the $400...tried rubbing a wet napkin, which in turn made it worse. Tried blame us then for her mistake. Long story short the owner would rather rip off a tourist than provide a good customer experience. Recipe for failure, good luck with that. Save your hard earned money for a customer friendly shop that stands being their product.

I wanted to like this store so much because I thought it was so cute outside and I love these cute little hidden boutiques but I remember on that particular day I had quite a substantial amount of cash on me and was ready to spend and I had been to maybe three or four places before I hit the big mall where I could find designer clothing and purses I noticed that a lot of the things in this particular store were overpriced and they had the same thing I was looking at for half the price at another place I thought about going back for it after I had been inside the store I kind of just stopped looked around and walked out I may have bought one thing in this store But I definitely didn't drop hundreds of dollars in here no wayI don't like paying over price for cheap fashion jewelry I don't care what your rent costs

They had some beautifully displayed sparkly masks that I thought were really special.I splurged and spent $50 on the perfect one for me."Small independent designers" MY FOOT!I found the exact same mask in a "trinket" store down the street for $25.I checked, it was the EXACT same maskOf course, because of their "no return" policy, I'm being stuck played for a fool.I'd have to be a fool to go back and shop here, that's for sure. It's shops like this that give the Quarter a bad name for ripping people off.Glad to know they have a sister store, Jackie's. I'll make sure to avoid that one too.

Rude Sales lady. This past Saturday I saw a really cute dress on a mannequin. I politely asked if there were other sizes available. She acted like it was a terrible inconvenience for me to ask and then when I realized the size I needed was the one on the mannequin, it was too much of an issue to try that one on. I felt very much like Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman. Even with my designer handbag on my shoulder, clearly I wasn't deemed worthy to shop there. Big Mistake!!!!!

Violets is the sister store to Jackie's, right around the corner. The merchandise, all colorful and pretty stuff for ladies, is pleasing to the eye but appears to be the same as the stuff at Jackie's. The difference is just the price tag.I really hit a lull with my shopping in New Orleans, some of these boutiques are expensive! A bracelet at Violets was $80, but I couldn't figure out why since I couldn't see any worth in the metal or stones used. The girl working behind the counter looked bored, and so did the dog sleeping under one of the tables. Violets, I'm on board with your snooze patrol.

This is a cute little store, with pricey designer brands that you would be hard pressed to find anywhere else in the city, much less in the Quarter. Although we didn't buy anything, I was impressed with the selection. They had a lot of really gorgeous pieces that had clearly been bought with care. The sales person was very attentive and helpful. If I was looking to blow some cash on a quality yet trendy piece or needed a cocktail dress, I would definitely come here. They also had a nice selection of accessories! It can be a pain to get to, being in Jackson Square, and so it seems to primarily cater to tourists but its definitely worth a peek if you find yourself in the Quarter.

Saw this cute shop in my Fodors book, was really looking forward to going in. We found it today and were so excited to see so many cute dresses and accessories!! However, our excitement soon turned to annoyance as we noticed the obvious hovering of the sales lady!! Every move we made she was on our tail as if she suspected we were going to steal! Saw some nice things that we wanted to purchase, but after less than 3 minutes we decided to leave. So uncomfortable! So we went to Razzle Dazzle around the corner where they were very friendly and happily accepted our money.

Had an awesome time shopping at Violets. Store staff was friendly and helpful when I was trying to figure out what to buy. Their selection is outstanding-like nothing else in the Quarter. A little pricey but the quality is good and you won't find anyone else wearing your clothes! I LOVE Violets!
