Uchi Suchi and Hibachi

We frequent this place often and love the local feel. They are friendly and the hibachi is flavorful and fresh! This place has never disappointed us! Thank you Uchi!

This place is just ok. There are much better hibachi restaurants with more flavor. The fried rice was bland and the chicken was tough. I wouldn't come back, and I would happily travel to Metairie for better hibachi.

Love Uchi sushi! Literally the best. Everything tastes so fresh and delicious. It's my favorite. The LSU rollwas delicious!! My son got the shrimp hibachi lunch and he was able to Get kids chopsticks which made his day. Hopefully this location will stay open forever!

Hadn't had hibachi in quite a while and just wanted to sit around the grill and be mesmerized and taken away from the reality of this pandemic. The servers were wonderful and we were certainly understanding of being short staffed. Our hibachi was filet mignon, scallops and shrimp. It was all so delicious and flavorful. The extra garlic we requested just sealed the flavor spectrum. Brought home enough left overs for two more meals.

Love their Hawaiian roll it's the best! I've had the hibachi before it's great as well their spring rolls are great and the sauce is so yummy.

This is seriously my favorite sushi place!! Too bad it's all the way in Louisiana but I just go there at least 2 times when I'm in the neighborhood. The service is awesome. The rolls are HUGE and the fish is fresh. And the prices are great. Can't beat any of that. * The House Special Roll is great if you don't want all of the rice. It's a soy paper wrap filled with snow crab, yellowtail, tuna & salmon! It's Really BIG & the special sauce on the side is great. You can really eat the roll without the sauce. * The Rainbow Roll is your typical rainbow roll...but bigger. Nice thick cuts of salmon, yellowtail & tuna on top. With a little avocado as well. Perfect! * The Mid City Roll is another favorite. Salmon & Snowcrab in a miki sushi roll. * Everything here is delicious!!! If you're a lover of Salmon, then this is the place for you (try the Ahi Salmon Tower). The snow crab is really good. I don't know what extra ingredients they add but it's awesome!!

My husband and I order takeout here at least once a week! The Super Bowl roll is my favorite! My husband loves the tri colored sashimi. Super friendly staff and chefs!

I've been wanting to try this place and I'm glad I did. The menu is great. The abundance of specialty rolls is amazing. There was stuff on the menu I hadn't seen anywhere else. The food was amazing. The fish was fresh and flavorful. The mixed mushroom soup was great. It had just the right amount of sesame oil to bring out the earthy flavor of the mushrooms. The building was clean and stylish. The one complaint I had was the lack of servers. There was one server there at 6:00 in the evening. Luckily there were only 3 other tables. That still put our service pretty slow. A few times the sushi chef came from behind the sushi bar to help clear tables, give refills, and boxes. This is my first time going so I'm not sure if it is the norm. The server was very nice though and never stopped trying to serve. I will be back for another visit.

There were 7 of us for dinner. We tried the hibachi grille. Our chef was great! He was entertaining and included our grandchildren in the funFood portions were large.. I couldn't finish mine. But deliciousWill come again! Great dinner!

I have had better hibachi. Here, every part of the hibachi is over-seasoned with the same flavors, so when you eat every part of your meal it all tastes the same but with different textures. I do however enjoy their sushi, but will stick with the other sushi places in the area for now.
