I've eaten here since going with Parents in the 1950's. This is a classic unique but traditional N.O. restaurant/bar.Some items may sound unusual but everything here is extremely good. Like the "boiled beef brisket" which is surprisingly delicious.Do make a reservation. Walk or take a cab, as parking is difficult to impossible. If you must drive, park at Valentino's Place d'Armes on Saint Ann & walk the couple blocks. You can't go wrong at Tujague's.(Their name sounds a lot like "Two Jocks" or "Two Jacks".)The bar is a classic mix of locals, Quarter-dwellers, & tourists.Rick

New Year's Eve dinner was awful. Paid $95 per person for my girlfriend and I and everything was pre-made, not hot, stale mashed potatoes, flavorless food and terrible service. There are tons of other places in the French Quarter with far better food for a fraction of a fraction of the cost.We saw our server 2 times in over an hour and a half.

Checked out Tujague's new Happy Hour menu and WOW! It was great! They have a ton of discounted bites and even discounted Veuve on the menu. I loved sitting in the courtyard and the service was great. Not on the happy hour menu, but the Grasshopper cocktail is a must-try!

I got the shrimp & grits. It tastes exactly like what the description said and I wasn't necessarily impressed. One of the most classy restaurants I visited during my trip. It's super posh and clean. Our waiter was very friendly. Food came out quick. Probably wouldn't come again if I visit.

I normally steer clear of the French Quarter when dining out, however my dad took me here for dinner one night. The dining experience was exceptional, with tender braised short rib served in a rich, flavorful savory sauce that enhanced every bite. The Parmesan chive polenta was a light, creamy, and a perfect upgrade from traditional mashed potatoes. The spinach, while tasty, was a bit too salty, but it didn't overshadow the overall quality of the meal. Paired with a crisp and delicious Pinot Grigio, the flavors came together beautifully. The atmosphere was stunning and would be an ideal spot for a date night. With its warm and attentive staff who went above and beyond, this restaurant truly offers a memorable experience worth revisiting.

The crab imperial was amazing. The jumbo crab meat was fresh with a delicious sauce. I had the shrimp and grits simmered in New Orleans styles bbq sauce and a flourless chocolate cake. The ambiance was a quaint spot as well, rich with history.

We attended a lovely wedding dinner here that was made so special by our lovely waiter, Martine. She was hard-working, attentive, and efficient. She anticipated our needs with a beautiful smile. The food was fine. We had three entrees to choose from a fish of the day almondine, Airline chicken, and hanger steak. The fish's butter sauce was yummy, but the fish tasted like it wasn't basted in it. The haricot beets were crisp and flavorful. They had a good "snap" to them. The chicken was the smallest portion of the three with, what appeared to be, one carrot split lengthwise, half of a mushroom cap sliced lengthwise, and some pearl onions. The flavors were great. The hanger steak divided the table. Some liked it and some loathed it, opting to not eat it. I tasted it and found it flavorful. The favorite bite on that plate was the potato puree. We unanimously agreed that the chicken andouille gumbo was delicious. The upstairs space that they'd reserved was handsome with an ample balcony that was perfect for people-watching and taking in the view of Decatur. A member of the wedding party arrived early to decorate the space and set a memorial place setting at the table for the deceased father of one of the brides. The restaurant took it upon themselves to thoughtfully leave a glass of wine beside his plate. What a heartwarming gesture of humanity.

We had reservations on Thanksgiving and loved that they had a few options on their menu. The service is great, old school, dual servers, type of place! This complements the varied styled decor of the place. We were seated upstairs and it was cool to get to quite a bit of the restaurant. The menu for Thanksgiving gave us the option of soup or salad, the soup being gumbo, we both chose that. The salad also had Tabasco pecans I think and I was too scared to try that ha. I ordered the braised short rib, which had a delicious reduction/sauce that was sooooo good. It was my favorite bite of the night, which is saying something because the bread pudding was the best bread pudding I've ever had! I'm usually not a big bread pudding fan but it was absolutely perfect and I may have changed my mind! I was also given bites of my partners meal, he ordered the traditional turkey dinner, I thought the stuffing/dressing was fantastic! We thought it was a great experience! I'd love to check out their normal dinner menu next trip!

I don't even know where to begin--this was, without a doubt, one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had. From the moment we walked in, it was clear that this place prioritized optics over quality. We had a 5:30 reservation, one of the first of the night, yet we were shoved into what can only be described as an overflow holding area near the entrance, separated from the lobby by a flimsy green drape. It felt like an afterthought--an extension of the waiting area rather than a proper dining space. Then came the sommelier-recommended wine list, which was a complete joke. Every red wine offering was either a twist-top or a half-bottle. We ordered a bottle of red from this so-called curated list, and it was both a twist-top and a half-bottle. I have never seen a sommelier-recommended list that looked anything like this. And then... the food. We ordered a beef appetizer, and what arrived at our table was a sad pile of brown, unseasoned ground beef. It was visually unappealing, flavorless, and genuinely one of the worst things I have ever been served in a restaurant. If that wasn't bad enough, let's talk about the bathroom situation. By 6:00 p.m., I had to walk up three flights of stairs just to reach the only restroom, which had two stalls total for the entire restaurant. The trash was overflowing, there was no toilet paper, and it looked like it hadn't been serviced since the previous day. Completely unacceptable for any restaurant, let alone one that presents itself as upscale. At that point, we had seen enough. We asked for the check and left before even getting to the main course. When the wine is bad, the food is inedible, and the bathroom is in complete disarray before dinner service has even fully started, there's nothing left to redeem the experience. This was beyond disappointing--it was embarrassingly bad. I wouldn't return if it were free.

Had a great time here! The food was solid and the bottomless mimosas rocked. We had great service from a combination of Lance/Caroline/Hadi.
