Trey Yuen Cuisine Of China

After reading the reviews here I have to say I am astonished. The chefs/owners take pride in their work and the quality of the food. Since 1988 we have always had great service and food. Even when we take out. Yes. Prices are high everywhere but hoping they stabilize. Please take a chance and give them a try if you haven't lately. It's worth the risk. I plan to be back soon.

Some co-workers and I were ordering lunch and one of them mentioned Trey Yuen. I have been in Mandeville/Covington for three years and heard about this place so thought yeah let's do it.We ordered take out lunch and I ordered the Lunch #7 Spicy Beef with fried rice. Good came hot and for take out that is a plus but biting in I expected "heat" after all it said spicy and I LOVE spice! Based upon this experience this was sub average and the reason for 2 stars. I have heard so many good things and even the reviews are not bad but honestly I personal would prefer Thai if I was going to order and be told it was spicy.

Food is always amazing. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable of the food. The grounds and inside are in beautifully decorated.

There must be new management or a new chef Trey Yuen in Mandeville because the food is much better than it was the last time I was there which was over a year ago. The service was very good all in all I got four out of five stars this time.

We came for our 30th anniversary dinner and had a fabulous time. Most Chinese restaurants have become storefront, take-out places. Trey Yuen is what we call a "sit-down place" - you can actually sit down and eat like a real restaurant. Very nice, calm atmosphere. The koi pond outside, the decor inside, cloth tablecloths and napkins, heavy silverware, all are very nice. Made for a great experience overall.Our server Amir was friendly and answered all our questions. He was very efficient and took good care of us without hovering over us constantly. The owner/chef came by our table a couple of times to check on us. Also very friendly and welcoming.I was impressed beyond words with the pot stickers! I have had a million of them over the years and these really stand out. They are larger and stuffed fuller than I usually find. I complimented the chef when he came around and he said "Those are hand made. They don't come from Sam's."

Great food and great service. Their food is spot on! The architecture and ambiance is fantastic. You really feel like you're in China.

Trey Yuen is one of the best Chinese restaurants we've eaten in. Everything was so fresh and perfectly spiced and delicious. The restaurant is elegant and old school. Our kids love eating "fancy" Chinese. Our server was attentive and friendly and very knowledgeable of the menu. Highly recommend and we will definitely be back

This place has so many bugs. My mil actually was served a cockroach on her dish. There's no way I'd ever eat food from here ever again.

This place is very mid. the service was amazing but the food was very bland and unflavorful. The decor is beautiful and well designed. There was no wait and it's a very large building.

Best Chinese on the north shore! From the ambiance, to the service, and the food. Everything was delicious.
