While visiting my family who recently moved to NoLa, I booked us a ghost tour for the trip for a Tuesday night. We had three adults and three kids from our group plus a couple and another small family and our tour guide was Meri. I can't say enough good things about her and the experience! She was a great guide and made the historical stories intriguing and funny! She wrangled the group well, answered questions that popped up, and kept everyone engaged. The youngest of our bunch exclaimed at the end he couldn't believe the time was already finished when we came to the end of the tour because the time had flown by! I highly recommend the company, guide, and the tour, it was a great way to see the French Quarter at night & learn about some of the history and local haunts!

I joined the Ghost Tour by foot with guide Evian on 2/22. It was a blast. Evian was an excellent tour guide, offering a great blend of history, anecdotes (first and second-hand), skepticism, and even a photo featuring something unusual! The tour time, number of stops, and amount of walking was well-balanced and as a first activity in the French Quarter, it was a great way to orient myself with the neighborhood. Evian was very good at ensuring we didn't block any walkways or intrude on other tours going on nearby. I also got a few great recommendations for indoor activities to pass the rainy forecast for the next day. 10 out of 10 tour. I'd recommend to anyone with interest in ghosts, history, or a general good time!

We did the historical walking tour of the French Quarter. Because it might have rained today, we were the only ones on the tour. The guide was a very knowledgeable and nice guy.We learned a great deal about the history of New Orleans in general, and the French Quarter in specific. It started in Jackson Square and ended near Congo Park. From the strategic blunders of the British in the War of 1812, to the two oldest buildings in the area (one a convent, the other Pirate Jean Lafitte's blacksmith shop), through the heart of this year's Decadence Festival, it was an amazing learning experience.

We took 7 tours in total during our recent NOLA trip, with 6 FTBF guides. I have EXTENSIVE reviews of each and every one of these AWESOME experiences. Yelp limits my post, so ANYONE seeking more detailed information regarding the below tours is welcome to message me and I'll pass along that specific review! I've also posted it's entirety on the FTBF page of a major social media site that once used faces as it's bases for publishing books... so you can find it there, too!Enjoy!#AndrewFarrier: Garden District Tour, &Creole Christmas Tour In The French Quarter#DanielChick: French Quarter Tour#KaylaLemaire: French Quarter Food Tour#EvianHardester: Tremé Tour#SandyHester: Historically Accurate Voodoo Tour#AndrewSimoneaux: Ghost Tour#NewOrleans#FreeToursByFoot#NOLA

I love finding free tours by foot. We did at 7:30 PM ghost tour with Mari and she was great. She is from the city and was highly knowledgeable about the haunted history and took us to places we shouldn't miss. Some of the stories gave a little chill, and some were downright disturbing. Mari was animated and hilarious. Even a weird thing happened during our tour. A potato came out of nowhere and hit some of the people in our group which is quite freaky. There were many other ghost tours around, saying essentially the same things. The next day we went on a French Quarter food tour with Kayla. She is also from Louisiana and very knowledgeable about the food history and gave us lots of information about the food influences found here. The places we went to try some of the food wasn't too bad, could have been better, but she did provide us with an extensive list of restaurant recommendations. I do recommend this tour as it is very informative and Kayla is super nice.

First thing I'll be recommending to ANYONE that is visiting NOLA. Holy hell, just book this already!Robi will change your life. It is rare to meet someone with such a pure and radiant soul, with passion, empathy, and understanding for the human condition. You get it ALL with Robi- history, culture, a little bit of hip shakin'... the tour ends with a powerful Voodoo cleanse that we ALL need. I appreciated the emphasis on community, and it was a pleasure to see Robi wave, smile, and greet almost every person we passed in the park by name. Robi and his family have major ties to New Orleans and surrounding land, and everyone on tour felt included and seen. A beautiful way to start our weekend in New Orleans. We learned so much about the city, the blended cultures, Voodoo, colonization, healthcare, women's rights, spiritualism and religion, and more. Ask all the questions, smile, be kind, and have fun. These walking tours are free/low cost, so please be sure to tip Robi and then tip him some more because he loves you more than your own mother probably. Seriously.

We had a wonderful ghost tour led by Meri! She was extremely entertaining and funny, and we heard a fantastic mixture of NOLA history and ghost stories that took us to an area of the French Quarter we hadn't yet journeyed through. We had our two kids (7 and 11) with us, and the tour was appropriate for them and easy to follow. Someone in our group also had a wheelchair and even though the city isn't necessarily the very best for that, the tour seemed pretty accessible for them, in case that's an issue for you. :)Super grateful she was our guide! Highly recommend this tour!
