Tonti's is one of my favorite neighborhood spots. The atmosphere is very charming, the menu has a great selection whether you're in the mood for just soup and paté or a full meal. If you're single, it's a wonderful place to have a seat at the bar and eat dinner. You'll end up chatting with friendly neighborhood folks. I also love their signature cocktail menu! 10/10!

Went here to watch the Superbowl. I was surprised to see not too many people were there. The TV kept freezing, but it's likely the big screen wasn't meant to running the game or sports on it. The service wasn't too bad. The bartender was around and we were able to walk up to the bar and ask for refills. We had the fries, onion rings, and French onion soup.- I enjoyed the onion rings a lot, it came with an almost tar tar sauce that worked with it. -We had some house ketchup and house sauce(1000 islandish?) with the fries. I thought the fries could have used a little more seasoning, and the ketchup was a bit watery for me, but the house sauced worked well. - The soup was quite tasty and came with a good portion.

After being disappointed with our first pick, we found this close by and decided to try it out. They have inside and outdoor eating. We were warmly greeted and seated. We tried two of their specialty cocktails which weren't to our tasting but the Pumpkin Old Fashioned was strong. We had their bread appetizer, Wagyu burger and fries and crème brûlée for dessert. The bread was delicious and came with butter, cheese and a few olives. The burger was big and juicy. It came with homemade fries which weren't amazing. The crème brûlée was different than what I've had previously but very good. I enjoyed watching the bartender make the drinks as he really was into it! All in all, it was a nice experience and I do recommend it if you're in Algiers point!

Man, such a bummer. This place had a great burger. I guess they changed their menu and the burger and fries are both different. The burger I had tonight was basically a small hockey puck in between thawed buns. The fries came out like they had fallen into a puddle of water. The staff project a defeated vibe. Something might be plaguing this establishment. I think it must just be hard to do something like their promise in a place like Algiers Point where people just heat up frozen pizza at home. I am sad for them and for the refugee plates that emerge from their kitchen.

Tonti's Hand French Bistro is a neighborhood French restaurant which specializes in classic French cuisine. Tonti's Hand is located on the Westbank of New Orleans in the historic Algiers Point neighborhood. Tonti's Hand opened up back in November of 2022 and has quickly become very popular in the area for their great food, drink and ambiance. This restaurant is named after French General Henri de Tonti who had a prosthetic hand which earned him the nickname the "Iron Hand." General de Tonti was a contemporary of the brothers Bienville and Iberville with Iberville founding Louisiana and Bienville founding New Orleans. This is a popular neighborhood restaurant that has joined a growing number of other restaurants in Algiers Point while Tonti's Hand is currently the nicest restaurant of all of them so far. This is a great spot to enjoy a New Orleans traditional French food feast where you can enjoy some classic French bistro classics. My video review of Tonti's is here:https://youtu.be/u_23dSaNE7Y

I feel lucky to have such an amazing restaurant just a few blocks away from my house, which offers a daily happy hour. Today, I tried their spring fling cocktail, which was beautifully crafted and tasted so good. I also tried their version of an espresso martini, which I absolutely loved! The staff at Tonti's is always friendly, and the French-inspired theme of the place is so cute.

I live in Algiers and I am always really excited to have a new local business in the area. Welcome Tonti's Hand! Anyone's mad about a traditional French Bistro moving in to the neighborhood???? No never. It's a sign that you are doing everything right in your life if you have a casual neighborhood French spot to visit and have wine and mussels on a Sunday! This place is lovely. A casual French-style bistro. The cheese board is epic and the wine comes in carafes. Come support this little Algiers gem with your sweetheart!

Stopped in for lunch. First impressions were positive. A family of three came in after is approximately 10 minutes after we were seated. The same waitress who seated us went to them first and took their order, while we sat and waited. Their drinks were starved to them before we were asked what if we would lie something. They received their appetizers after which she can and took our food order. My wife said don't worry about it be cause you can't control it. True I can't control the service but I can control how much into and the review that I write. Hopefully the owner will take this as a learning opportunity. Two hours to get our food. Just when we were leaving it came. Algiers is a small community that doesn't have the tourist traffic of New Orleans proper. Alienating new locals is not the way to stay in business long. Disgusting experience!!!

The food, service and drinks are always excellent. I eat here often because I live around the corner and literally have never had 1 complaint about the bartender, server or food. We eat here for lunch I've never visited for dinner time.
