Tokyo Cafe

My daughter and I like to go to Tokyo Cafe for hibachi since it's close to our house. The service was great. Our server was very attentive and I really appreciated that she would make conversation with my daughter as well as with me. Our hibachi chef was great and interacted with us the entire time he cooked. The food was delicious! The salmon was so tender. My daughter got the fried rice, and we didn't realize that she would also get noodles too. The portions were enough for both of us to have leftovers, definitely worth the price. Maybe next time I'll branch out and add some sushi as well, but the hibachi is so good that it's hard to branch out.

I've visited this establishment many times and have had pleasant experiences 90% of the time Brandon was our chef most of those times he's beyond helpful to us. The past two visits I have had were awful to say the least. The older chef we had was not very nice (including making weird jokes to my SO) And both times our food was numbers worse than the time before. Tonight, our chicken was undercooked and probably not safe to eat, along with a sloppy attempt to cook the rest of our meal. He did not look happy at all which I normally wouldn't mind but the rude comments and subpar food made my experience beyond subpar.If this chef does not put a halt to his antics or face any disciplinary action it will cause detrimental damage to this establishment.

Tokyo Cafe is a classic hibachi restaurant that I've frequented for years. The food is ALWAYS cooked to perfection; hibachi, sushi, etc.This is my first time trying the spring rolls and I'd give them 6/10. Everything else was delicious!The service is always fantastic and I always leave ready to come back!

The hibachi is good and the portions are huge plus the soup and salad you get with it. Unfortunately they forgot my vegetables, but have us both rice and noodles. The sushi is pretty good. Overall, I'd be back but would probably eat inside instead of ordering to go.

The food was delicious! The service was great! Our server was friendly and very attentive! The sushi was fresh, the sauce for the chicken teriyaki was astounding, and the tempura was crispy and tasty! The portions were very generous!!! One of our steamed rice bowls was a little undercooked, and the prices were a touch higher than I want to pay. But, we'll still be back!

I was a little worried at first mainly because I eat at the same Hibachi place every single time. It was nice to try a different spot. My plate was PACKED! It was really good & the service was quick. I dont like vegetables, I only had Hibachi steak, rice, and chicken! 9/10

This is my favorite sushi restaurant in the Baton Rouge area. I normally order a spicy tuna roll and a salmon avocado roll and the price is $11.99. Their sushi prices haven't gone up since I've been going in 2007 and they are large and the fish is always fresh. Nicest owners. I know it's very popular for hibachi. Give it a try!

Service was amazing. Our server was really patient with us going over the menu. The sushi rolls we chose were really good. I loved the shrimp lo mein full of garlic.

First time dinning with Tokyo Cafe. There was people waiting, it our whole party was there, and we were able to be seated immediately. Food was excellent, as well as the Hibachi chef. He was interactive and made some great food. Would definitely recommend this place again. We received a huge amount of food for a very fair price.
