It's a dog track, but for $40 with cart who cares. A great place to get your game in shape before embarrassing one's self in front of one's friends.

My boss and I got a price break on 18 holes, so it was good start. The course was easy to figure out (somewhat) but I had to ask the people behind us to make sure. But the young men at the pro shop were very helpful in guiding the new to the course people like us. Pro shop had a bar next to it and a decent club locker room. Course was mostly 300-400 yardish hole with less water hazards and bunkers than I am used to, so it was pleasant to play. Rough grass and trees were plenty, but fairways were pretty decent and all holes mostly straight. One thing I noticed is that many residents had no fences to the course and could easily walk out to the course. Some parts of the course were tight and you could be bunched up (people in front and behind) had to wait for clearance before hitting, otherwise it could be dangerous. I would say that the course is a medium to easy in difficulty and play fairly quickly.

Wanted to play golf while in Louisiana and glad we played. Good holes with good variety. We played at 11 am on a Friday and it was not busy. Would rate as a good municipal course not quite country club standards. Fairways good but not plush. Back nine going under some renovations and the yardage markers were off.

worse golf course in New Orleans area. greens are bad, fairways are hard like rock with lots of tree roots. poorly maintained. if you want to play golf, choose different course in the area. course manager customer service terrible, bought online tee time, then got to golf course and wanted to wait 20 minutes for friends to come out, he said no! since it's tee time he forces you to play now. Richie is the biggest jerk. seems like they don't want people to spend money there. save yourself the grief, play somewhere else where there are nice greens, good fairways, better customer service. needless to say I'm never coming back.

The golf pro, Richie Tomblin, is an a-hole.First time playing here, I followed the cart path toward the first tee, looking for a chipping/putting green. Looked to my left, saw the green, then looked to see if I could drive the cart there. Didn't see any signs saying otherwise. After being there for 5 minutes, the pro (Richie), steps outside the door from the pro shop with a cell phone up to his ear and yells, "get that cart off the grass", then said to the person on the phone, "there's a guy parked on the grass with a f-ing golf cart". But he didn't say f-ingHis approach is very unprofessional and very rude. I felt like I was walking on eggshells afterwards. The course, if you're an experienced golfer, spend your money and time somewhere else. The starter even suggested going to Stonebridge if we were staying longer. The fairways are dirt, weeds and a little grass. The greens look nice but are very slooooooow. The back nine has some greens that were scalped by the mower. The tee boxes are pretty tore up, needing a lot of attention. No ball washers on the course. After completing my round, I drove past the building that was about 30 feet from the clubhouse. There were some old timers hanging out having a drink, a couple guys walked around the side to take a piss. Seriously, the club house was 30' away! The club pro should worry more about this than a cart parking on the grass! The staff, in the pro shop, couldn't care less if you're there. Not friendly at all.The starter said they only had 50 players scheduled to play for the day. Tells you a little something about the course and staff.

The Supposed Golf Pro Richie Tomblin is a complete A**H***. I came to try the course to see if I might want to become a member. I guess he expect to be recognized. He began to berate myself and another golfer. This is the golf pro we are supposed to take lessons from! Not gonna happen. My money for membership will be spent Monthly elsewhere. Certainly not here. Richie you need to take some etiquette lessons.

Hi MaramaMancer here Local streamer/influencer and Timberlane is an amazing place to get a nice round of golf! The greens are the best they have been in years and possibly the best on the Westbank as of right now and the staff is amazing and on point and always the nicest around! Cafe Hope is also and awsome place for food that matches some of the top restaurants in New Orleans and it never fails to be of the best around the area!!!

The course is in very good condition but the staff is VERY RUDE and could probably benefit from a couple of customer service classes. My golf partner and I played there and the lady at the counter never even mind to say "hello". Then at the turn I tried asking the golf pro a question and he didn't even bother to stop to answer my question. Even though I would love to play this course again... that will probably not happen.

I love the layout of Timberlane's course. I have been a member here for 15 years and am a member of the LGA. We have super friendly ladies who play on Tuesdays and Saturdays and are always looking for new members to join us. The ladies now have a nice advantage on most holes, which makes it more enjoyable. The greens are in great shape and would say they are probably better than any in the immediate area. Come out and experience a great day of golf at TCC!
