Awesome food! Al Pastor torta was so good, and the chorizo tacos were some of the best I've had. The lady who served us was super nice, helpful and fun to talk with. The grocery is small, but you can find some great things to cook with that you can't find at our major grocery stores.

This place is not open in the evenings ever. Every time I try to go there, they are closed. DO NOT rely on the hours posted. They decide to close when they want to apparently. I called today and it was the first time someone answered. He didn't speak English very well and had a hard time answering questions. I asked what time they close today, and he said 4 even when the hours posted says 7. The only reason I bother to go, is because I have a restaurants.com certificate for it. I am not even sure I can use it.

This is a nice little Hispanic grocery in Mandeville. Their selection is small but they have some of the stuff that you cannot find at the major chain stores. As of yet I have only had the lengua tacos, they are great (f.y.i. lengua is tongue). This is what real Mexican food is should be. That being said, if you a suburban white yuppie who thinks a chimichang is Mexican, and you have never been to a "hole in the wall" taqueria you will be in for some culture shock. The place is a little cramped, the service "sparse," and it very helpful to speak a little Spanish. As far as the menu goes, I have never seen one. You kind of have to know what they offer. So in summation if you want to try some real Mexican food, and you are not afraid to expand you cultural horizons then this place is a gem..
