This is a gorgeous Bed & Breakfast in the midst of Baton Rouge. It's like a oasis of peace and quiet. I had a gorgeous balcony / deck out of my room and seriously loved it. I drank coffee in the morning on my deck. My bed was comfortable. The pillows, will, I wish I'd have had a flatter one, but that often happens to me at a hotel or B&B. Breakfast was really good. Pancakes with fruit and chocolate syrup, fruit, scrambled eggs with cheese, a piece of sausage and a piece of bacon. They keep milk and yogurt and wine in the dining room for your enjoyment.

Wonderful stay, close to great restaurants. We enjoyed ourselves, our room was huge and had everything we needed. Breakfast was good, we unfortunately had to leave a day early due to hurricane Ida. We will be back soon.

My wife and I spent a weekend at The Stockade. What a wonderful B&B! The room we were in (The Escape) was charming, as was everything else. It's very historic and peaceful. Close to LSU and downtown.Breakfasts were fantastic. Janice, the owner, is just so nice, we really enjoyed chatting with her.We will definitely be back for a longer stay!

Great location. Lovely New Orleans style home with friendly and accommodating innkeepers and staff. Spacious comfy bedrooms and bathrooms with daily maid service. Delicious breakfast. Great biscuits and grits. Dining room open 24 hours with sodas, chips, muffin, and bananas with ice machine, toaster and microwave. I will always stay at The Stockade when in Baton Rouge!

We stay at the Stockade every time we visit relatives in Baton Rouge. It's the very opposite of hotel/motel stays. Janice Delerno has spent decades collecting and decorating, so every room is warm and intimate. breakfast can be an eat-and-run or a leisurely treat; this time Janice brought out a wonderful egg bake one day, little individual belgian waffles the next. Books, magazines and DVD's are stacked all around and there's plenty of deep plush seating in the common room. I like my tea and a cookie at 2am; it's available any time, complements of the house. I like to start my days with exercise; Janice maintains a complimentary membership at the 7/24 always-open exercise studio across the street. After 8 years and as many visits, we don't even think of staying anywhere else in Baton Rouge.

Just stayed the night last minute traveling. Rooms and innkeeper were great and very accommodating. They served us a wonderful breakfast at 7:30 on a Sunday morning so we could get on the road. I would make a point to stay again.

My husband and I recently got married here for a small elopement ceremony. From the very beginning, we absolutely fell in love with this place. It is a secret gem that is so heavenly to escape to. We stayed in the Rex Room which was incredible and were served an amazing breakfast. Ms. Janice is so incredibly thoughtful and so wonderful and we cant thank her enough for making her wedding so special for us!

I finally had the opportunity to stay at The Stockade and now I wish I had visited sooner! Janice is the most gracious of hosts and her team is top notch. The food was incredible and the public areas warm and welcoming. The rooms are thoughtfully furnished with the most deliciously soft sheets and, in the room where I stayed, a deep Jacuzzi tub!! I had the best night's sleep I've had in ages on the fluffiest of down pillows you can imagine. The Stockade is an oasis in the middle of Baton Rouge. It's so quiet and the gardens so relaxing that you'd never know you were just steps away from everything the city has to offer! Highly recommend a stay here!

My mom wanted to stay at a bed and breakfast because she simply has never done so before. For Christmas I got her a gift card here because of the amazing reviews. Yes, we are from Baton Rouge. My mom called me and asked if we could have a girls night there. So we planned it. The owner of the stockade was real sweet. She called me before Christmas apologizing because she forgot the mail the gift card in time for my mom to get it before Christmas. That was no big deal. My mom already knew what she was going to get and what not. She contacted me through various ways to get things done which I very much appreciated. When we arrived at the stockade we immediately get asked for help for our bags. We checked in, once you check in they offer one free glass of wine. The place has a "home" feeling. Our room was beautiful and clean and upstairs. She had an array of movies and books to choose from for your leisure. I really wanted to meet the owner but she wasn't there. The breakfast was wonderful. I wish it was bigger because it was so good! I was happy with my stay here. I would stay here if I was from out of town. It's located in a great area.
