Great food - I had the crawfish etoufee with a side order of fried crawfish - Tres Bon !

Everything was delicious! I highly recommend the crab boulettes for an appetizer and pecan praline bread pudding for dessert! Omg and the house made rolls were top 3 breads I've ever eaten. Chef's kiss

.This is an excellent, well-run, small town restaurant.Although I often complain, most of the offerings are very good to excellent.Try the gumbos, crawfish dishes, catfish, small steaks, eggplant dishes, or daily specials.I have only one major caveat, and it is this: If ordering anything fried; when ordering, remember to specify that it must be fried in the same corn mix they use for fried catfish. They will do this ONLY if you are specific. When fried this way, it all becomes first class. We, in SW LA Cajun Country, have the World's best fried seafoods when tradition is followed.Nothing here is "over-peppered'', rare for the region. (I do love the peppers just not over-done!)There is a great "locals bar", with full line of cocktails and a selection of wines.If going on a weekend night or holiday, please make an advance reservation.Helpful waitstaff, lotsa parking in 2 private lots, non-busy streets, & open field across along the Bayou. Ask for front seating to view the Bayou Teche & the small park while dining.Don't miss this small town JEWEL !Rick .

What a wonderful place! Food? Outstanding. Service? Outstanding. Victoria, our waiter, was charming and knowledgeable about the menu. I've had fried seafood that was good before, but the fries were usually soggy. St John? Even the fries were crispy and tasty! If you don't try this place, you are missing a wonderful experience.

So. My wife said let's go to this place and I'm glad we did !!! I've got to give this restaurant 5 stars because upon walking in, we were immediately greeted by the friendliest staff and was seated right away. The waiter, Ben, was phenomenal and was at our table recommending and taking our order. While we were eating that amazing bread, with the honey butter, the owner of the establishment was walking around talking to everyone. We really felt like family and not like just another customer. Now, let's talk about the food. For an app, we got the friend mushrooms. For dinner, I got the seafood platter and my wife got the Filet. I had to sneak a small bite of my wife's, perfectly cooked, Filet and OMG!!! probably one of the best steaks I've had the pleasure of eating. Not to mention that my platter was also cooked to utter perfection. Thumbs up to this place and we will definitely be back. SOON.

Tilapia was good and the staff was very kind. I ordered a Manhattan and it was a bit too "sugary" for my taste. Also, of the two TVs at the bar, one of them wasn't working properly - also the exposed wires from the TV didn't help the ambiance. However, overall, this has to be one of the best places in St. Martinville.
