The Shrimpman

Bought my 9-12 shrimp today!!! Over ten pounds is a bit more of savings! I'm glad they were still around since I get off work kinda late and most seafood markets are closed. It's a tent set up outside on LA 22! No overhead fees! He doesn't have shrimp boat but buys them from Westwego or Biloxi early in am to bring to Madisonville! Quite clever idea if you think about it! Saves me the trip from going down to south of my home! It's all wrapped up nicely! Shrimp in bag...then wrapped with newspaper...then back into another plastic bag! Nice!!! No leakage but to be safe...I brought my own bag cooler! It's a no leak bag from Sam's Club!

Let me start by saying that shrimp is amazing. I could eat shrimp 3-4x a week but The Shrimpman shrimp? I could eat it 7 days a week! Lived in the Madisonville area for almost 3 years and hadn't had Shrimpman shrimp until this year. My father in law bought 4 pounds and grilled them, two days later we got 5 pounds and made ceviche and also shrimp cocktail. The shrimp was huge, delicious and cooked so well. It tasted so fresh, peeled easily and just made the whole eating experience so enjoyable. The guys at the marina are super nice, knowledgeable and hold up their end of a great bargain. It's definitely a great place to get the best shrimp around town!!

I had trouble buying live crawfish from them. They sold me a sack that were half dead. I brought them back to exchange and he first only wanted to give me a couple of pounds. Finally swapped out for a new sack. This one also had another 5-9 pounds of dead crawfish. (Out of a 30lb sack)Guy gave me a hard time about my complaint. I would not buy from them again.
