The Shop Coworking

I've been a member of The Shop at CAC co-working space for the last 6 months, and I couldn't be happier with my experience! Working from home can become quite isolating and uninspiring, but this workspace has provided me with the perfect balance of camaraderie and productivity. Office amenities, location, networking opportunities, printers, coffee/tea stations, conference rooms for meetings are the best part of this membership!Not only do I get to collaborate on projects or simply exchange ideas with other motivated professionals around me, but most importantly there are no long-term leases which provides me with a great sense of freedom.

Definitely the best coworking space in New Orleans (and just about anywhere really lol). I've been to many shared offices in other cities (including WeWork in NYC & LA) and this is the best I've ever been to. The staff is super friendly and welcoming (especially Hugh), there is free cold brew and beer on tap, and snacks for purchase. They have two floors with plenty of space, and a beautiful rooftop for sunny days. Everybody I bring here is amazed at the quality of the space.I searched for tech startup coworking in New Orleans and this is by far the best by a longshot. If you're a traveler, they also have day passes! Definitely worth popping in to check it out.

What a fantastic work space!I had no idea this spot even existed until I was invited to check it out on one of their "Freelance Fridays". On Freelance Fridays you can stop in, without a membership, and see what the space has to offer. First of all, the whole area is gorgeous. There are wide open spaces and tables for meetings, sofas for lounging and working and individual "pods" where you can set up your work station and work in peace. There's a kitchen area filled with coffee, water, other drinks, snacks and even beer. If you use a dish, please wash it and replace it when you're finished- keeping this place neat is a team effort.I don't really have any need to become a full time member, but I can definitely see myself stopping in on another "Freelance Friday" so that I can work in a different kind of space. The Shop is what I imagine any modern work space to be and I really liked it and I would absolutely recommend it to anyone who needs a nice, quiet place to work.

Working at the shop has completely changed my experience of the last year. It's great that I can come into a workspace, while COVID-19 is still affecting us, and feel completely safe. The members and staff are so respectful of safety and hygiene while still creating an awesome community in for work and life.

I have been to the Shop for events but I decided to take advantage of a free Coworking Friday to see how the space functions on a normal day and was pleasantly surprised. The Shop boasts two levels of co-working space and a myriad of work space arrangements. My favorite is definitely the little 5 sided cocoons that can fit up to four people. I know 5 sided is pentagon but who wants to say they worked in a pentagon. Not me. I especially love that the seats on the other side of the cocoon are exactly the length needed for me to be able to prop up my legs. I also took advantage of the little telephone booths to take a call but will note that many folks took calls in the common area as well. The telephone booths are not sound proof but they do work to at least limit how many folks can overhear your call. I saw multiple groups meet up on the couches while I was there as well. It is just great to have so many work space options.The quality of the drink offerings (cold brew on tap, fancy waters, all of the sweetener options you could want) is awesome and they even have some breakfast/snack items for sale. However, the Auction House is within walking distance and a great alternative for a lunch break.Although I initially had an issue logging on, wireless was reliable for the full 8 hour day after I was connected. So I am pretty sure the log on issue was related to my old laptop.With great work space, wifi, and drinks, the Shops have everything one could want for a temporary work space.

My colleagues and I joined The Shop as members in August and it has been an amazing experience. We are (patiently) waiting for an office, and in the meantime are thoroughly enjoying the common desk membership. It's an extraordinary value and the staff and perks are wonderful.We're very happy here and very much enjoy our new work home.

Highly recommend. Our 5-person team held an in-person meetup in New Orleans, and we were happy to have found this place. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and we had all the amenities we needed. The space is well designed, very functional and aesthetically pleasing. We booked a conference room for 3 days and my only complaint would be that the chairs were not quite comfortable enough for that level of constant use.

I am an attorney with 3 offices in the New Orleans area. Keeping my 4th in the heart of downtown stopped making sense until I heard about the Shop. I am always on the move, so they offer just what I need. A clean and professional environment with a la carte services that match my daily needs. If you have a massive meeting with 25 people, use the large conference room. Quick deposition, get a smaller conference room. Either one can be reserved in a moment via email to the Shop team. When your clients or guests arrive, they are immediately attended to and sent to the proper conference room. They accept service of process for my cases and place in my large mail box along with my New Orleans mail. Every square inch of the place makes sense from a business viewpoint and is super clean to boot. If you are just starting out in business and want to avoid crippling overhead... this is your office solution. If you are a guy like me that has his "ball rolling" with 3 fully operation offices but needs one more place to meet with downtown clients, then you too have your solution.
