The Rovervelt

We absolutely love this place and the staff. They always treat our Lucy like one of their own. I love watching her play with all of her doggy friends and the staff on the cameras. It's quite evident how much the dogs love it there when they all flock to the employees as they walk in. On Lucy's first day at camp, one of the staff even called me to let me know how she was doing. Then later, when she was boarded while we went on vacation, the owner gave me her personal cell phone and said to call anytime. I honestly can't say enough great things about this place

Thanks to the wonderful staff at The Rovervelt for always taking such great care of our Maggie! Working nights is rough so we were eager to find a place for our girl to play while we are sleeping during the day. The staff here has been so great and loves her like one of their own. So wonderful to have a place like this in Westwego!! We've been so happy with grooming and doggy daycare. We love being able to not only see her on the cameras, but the pictures of her having a blast let us know she is truly in good hands!!

Great place! We had our Luna, a 2.5 year old German shepherd, trained here. I would board my dogs here without hesitation. And they have great grooming as well. Really reasonable prices for it. Highly recommend. Luna went rather wild and impulsive and came back super attentive and much more self-control. Highly recommend!I felt like all staff I interacted with cared for her as I would. And just so impressed with how much she learned and how easily it transferred to me, my young children and their Dad when he returned from a deployment. Again, highly recommend! Plus I love all the pictures they post daily. This is one of the many pictures they took of my girl having a blast.

My boyfriend and I boarded our 9 month old puppy here for 10 days in May. We were extremely nervous to board her as this was our first time leaving her behind. We were very pleased with the facility along with the staff. Everyone was so kind. We loved the live camera options as well as the daily pics posted of our sweet girl We appreciate that fact that she was given daily play time with a variety of other dogs. I would recommend boarding your pups here!

I emailed the Rovervelt to board my dogs during the 4th of july weekend. I came to see the place, it looked ok and they gave me some paper work to fill out. I emailed them the paper work several days before our appointment and specifically asked if they needed any thing else. By the way, their own paperwork says that you can send them documents by email. My plan was to drop the dogs on my way to the airport. When I got there they told me that I had to fill out all the paper work again. I was in a hurry to get to the airport and I explained that I had already emailed all the paper work and did not have time to fill it up again. I asked why they couldnt use the documents I had emailed. The front desk lady became rude and questioned who am I to tell them how to how they run their business. I did not have time to fill out paper work and now I did not feel comfortable leaving my dogs under the care of a place where they are so rude to the customer from the start. I had no option but to leave and cancel my trip. I then got a call from the owner saying that it was all a misunderstanding. Yes, a misunderstanding that messed up our vacation. Never an apology for the "misunderstanding" The owner tried to explain that they dont even have a printer to print the documents I emailed. What kind of company does not have a printer? Run away form this place!
