Fun little bar that services the locals. A gal from the Rivershack suggested we give it a try. The place was dark and had a typical bar look. We sat at the bar and the bartender made us a round. The bartender was great and gave us a lot of tips about local hit stops. I didn't catch his name, but evidently, he's the only male bartender there, so, shouldn't be that hard to find. We were on the lookout for fun places, not in the Quarter, and we found one here. Hope you have as much fun as we did!!

I am giving this place a high review because it's fun, the liquor is great (peanut butter whisky, good juice, large selection), the bathrooms are clean and there's an abundance of outdoor seating. It's a fun place to hang on Thursday because ladies drink free. I wouldn't go alone though. The clientele is sketchy so set your boundaries quick and you'll have a good time. The bartenders are sweet and generous. I'm going to make it a regular spot down the street from me.

In my quest to find a new watering hole I came across this place. What a place it was,I never knew it but this little place is one happening bar. I had just left another bar and was messing around on my yelp app on my phone. I noticed that nobody had ever reviewed this place. I guess my pioneer spirit took over.I can tell that almost all of the people with the exception of me were regulars. But aside from that the folks were incredibly friendly and they greeted me with open arms. All the bartenders are female too.The crowd tends to be my age or older.I will admit that the selection on the jukebox was rather limited. There are still some hidden gems on it though. If you can't find what you want the bartender will probably go on the satellite TV and find what you want. They also got a DJ that comes in on Saturday nights and handles requests. So I guess there is a little something for everyone. After all that I have seen and experienced at this bar tonight I plan on becoming a regular. They got some video poker machines as well. Great news if you have a gambling problem. In short great place to grab a beer and listen to some music.

This is a small little bar located (and connected to) directly behind the Azalea Grill. They have a nice side patio that's actually larger than the interior of the bar. They have crawfish boils every Friday (during the season), ladies night on Wednesday and other specials along with occasional live music. The patio definitely seems like an awesome hidden away spot to enjoy a nice day. This is certainly one of the cooler bars on Jeff Hwy and I will certainly be returning to enjoy the patio. They only have a Facebook page and no direct website so Yelp won't let me enter that for the address so you will just have to use Google to find that page.

THE BAR OWNER STRAINED A SHOT WITH HIS FINGERS. In front of a bar full of people today at a fundraiser, I witnessed the owner of the bar strain a shot of tequila out of a shaker with his fingers! It was absolutely disgusting. I will never go to this bar again!

I really want to love this place. Jefferson Hwy is a great spot. The porch is awesome and the ambiance is great. The bartenders are friendly and engaging but 2 out of 3 don't know how to pour a beer. If I order a pint of beer I am expecting 16 ounces. Management seems to be dismissed. They are constantly running out of liquor. How does a bar run out of vodka? They have several beer taps but half are usually empty. There is no way to find out what bands are playing. I saw some posts on FB lady month but typically Facebook isn't updated, instagram link doesn't work. The website shows their last event from a year ago. In between band sets, the bartender puts on their music of choice, which can be head banging or techno. You should match the music to the crowd or genre of who is playing that night. I see they are making physical renovations to the place to attract people. You may get new interest but if the business is broken they will not come back. I was in there a couple of days ago and saw a box with Toys For Tots propped up against a wall under a beer sign. There was no signage, nothing to bring attention to it. Of course it was empty. I was told it wasn't going over too well. There were 2 menu's on the wall, not sure which was correct. It's been under new management for month or so. I am hoping they can turn this around.

Ordered through uber eats a shrimp poboy and the swamp style fries i honestly don't know where to begin with this place. Poboy came undressed even though i requested it to be. It was just bread and shrimp. Bread was horribly thick as can be then the shrimp i got a 12 inch sandwich it had 6 shrimp on it all of them still had the tail on. Batter was just watered down flour no seasoning whatsoever. I don't know if the people that own this place or the chef isn't from Louisiana but Jesus Christ. On to the fries. Soggy fries covered in greasy cheese damn near was a soup. In the discrimination it said "shredded steak, homemade onion gravy, cheddar cheese and diced onions". No gravy or onions in sight steak was more like pieces of roast beef. I wouldn't recommend this place to a homeless person.

I've come here a couple times and really enjoy it. The bar itself is a great atmosphere. Stopped by last Monday, and got served right away. Luisa was very friendly and great conversation and helped me without myself having to wait at all. Highly recommend going!

The Pour House absorbed the Azalea Inn about a year ago, and I'll reserve my opinion of that merger. My first and probably my last visit to the Pour House was in the afternoon of a weekday. The bar was empty and it was about 10 minutes before the bartender made an appearance. (??) The bartender was friendly but she definitely was tipsy. She asked ME how many drinks I'd had. The building is old, very old, and appears to be held together by all the advertisements on every available surface. The one-hole lady's room was a junky storage closet. But at least it had TP. I consider myself an avid dive bar patron, but this joint needs a lot of work to come up to that designation. All in all, it's a bar that only long time patrons could stand.
