Im giving it three, and thats really nice of me. BC this bartender was a horrible asshole to my mom and my friends in-laws when they asked after 40+ minutes if they could order a drink. We were the only ppl at the bar, and I do feel for the bartender some, as it is the Sunday b4 christmas...at 6pm...and the hotel didn't have another one. But when they asked he YELLED at us and said and I quote "I dont need to serve you, you can sit down at a table and order". Mind you, there are no tables open, and then someone walked up to the bar and he took their order. As a bartender myself, and I have been in these situations more than you can know, that was in no way ok how to treat or respond to customers. I would be embarrassed to have him work for any hospitality organization...as he lacks any kind of "hospitality". His name is John Paul (or thats what his name tag says). But, the room is beautiful, the drinks are good, and I would recommend tea here and the hotel rooms.

Ten and a half years since my last review of The Polo Club and so much has changed. Don't look for the truffle fries check-in offer, but that's OK, we appreciate their generosity of years past.In the years since my last review, I've stopped by from time to time, often after a Mardi Gras parade and it's a solid option, but admittedly not anywhere I'd go out of my way to drink as there are so many great lounges in the area. I've found Polo Club to always be crowded and the service, while nice enough, often forgetful and absent. It's also, as you'd expect, very expensive ($18 for a glass of Brut Rose that we had to get up and remind the waitress to bring after my table had their drinks for 15 minutes) and at this price point, I'd rather go elsewhere.

Our bartender, Woody, took perfect care to make sure that we had the best libations and that we were utterly entertained beyond expectation. It is so fun to have a lively bartender who not only likes to tell his own tales, but has an ear to be engaged by what his guests say as well. I enjoyed every drink, the nice bites with the perfect Castelvetrano Olives, fried pork skins and mixed nuts. I enjoyed the atmosphere as it reminded me of someone's old library that is perfectly curated with loungy and comfortable furniture. There is frequent live jazz music to entertain but not overpower your conversation. I cannot wait to stay at the Windsor Court and visit The Polo Club again.

Nice place with live music at the top of the hotel. Very loungey with couches and big chairs. The service isn't bad and the cocktails are good. They are a little pricey though.

Great service and tasty cocktails. I can't comment on the food, only came in for a drink before heading out for the night. Giving this spot 3 stars because we saw a mouse run across the floor at least 3 times. One of the waitresses even acknowledged that we weren't crazy, yes you saw what you think you saw scurry across the floor. I find it hilarious that folks pay $400+/ night to stay here when mice are likely living in the walls. Our server was very attentive. He made good drink suggestions for our group. I had a French 75, it was tasty. They provide a bowl of mixed nuts, olives and pork skins as little snacks. The decor is lavish, very old school. Lots of photos of rich, white, dead people. It is called the polo club after all.

I was expecting a high end cocktail joint in a more modern sense of the word. Essentially this felt a lot like a stale old club waiting to go out of business. Now - The martini was absolute perfection, I can take nothing away from that. It did take about 20 minutes to get to me so it could have come from anywhere. Beyond that, they have a very capable bar tender and largely incompetent "Cocktail waiters" Such wasted potential.

This isn't it. Cool ambience and fast service, but drinks are terrible. Very sloppy and poorly measured and mixed. We didn't drink much of it and decided to leave. It's in a hotel and unfortunately it's just a place of convenience for guests. No mixology skills or care required to stay in business.

If you are lucky enough to be staying at the Windsor Court, there is no better way to relax after a long day traveling than at the Polo Club. Old clubby atmosphere with a piano player - very elegant but still casual. Just feels like you've entered another time. Cocktails aren't cheap, but they are good. A complimentary trio of snacks arrives went you take a seat. Limited menu but enough to satisfy most tastes.

Wonderful vibes in this laid back but luxe lounge. Service was five star, the music was low key and fun, the food is awesome and the hotel is just beautiful. Cannot say enough about the amazing band and pianist that performed, and you're treated so well here by the servers. Loved the way every guest of every walk of life was welcomed so warmly. Come here for a light dinner or a drink! I loved the gumbo and the mocktail selection, and the deviled eggs were worth a splurge! The complimentary bar snacks are also great.
