The Odeon at South Market

I don't leave a lot of reviews. So... you can trust that I'm one of those people who give alot of things and people the benefit of the doubt. Im giving this place 1 star because of the way I as greeted upon an initial blind visit. The 3 staff at the front had no idea I was stopping by and willing to drop 6k a month for the 2 bedroom or penthouse. Upon walking in, they all stared at me with the most unfriendly looks upon their faces. No one greeted me with a smile. After a brief and awkward moment, the concierge asks me the classic "can I help you?" with a confused look on her face. Everyone gave me a look as though I was interrupting thier day. Currently Im living in the building across the street from Odeon, so I can see they get a lot of homeless folk walking in off the street. Maybe they think I'm just another disturber. Either way very rude! After I asked them about a showing, the unfriendly sales agent suggested that he was busy and that he would have to schedule it the next day. By this point I refused to never EVER EVER give an establishment my money if they dismiss me before I pull my wallet out. These "FOLKS" are notorious for doing that here in Louisiana, especially real estate. When I went back home, a current tenant in my building confirmed they did the same thing to her before I told her what happened. That was enough confirmation for me to never ever want to live in a place that doesn't make me feel at home. I really think Odeon feels like they're luxury living but the ppl who live there will tell you its just as basic as Paramount and The beacon. I'm gonna give the standard a try tmrw

Nice building but overpriced. this building is more expensive than the high rises in Downtown LA which is crazy to me. even parking is $250 ONE car. thats ridiculous. they dont even have move in specials. Also keep in mind theres paint splats on the outside of the windows that they have yet to clean...which is one of the reasons why i wont lease at the moment bc i dont wanna be staring at paint stains when looking out my window. other than that its a nice building.

Living at the Odeon has been an absolute pleasure for many reasons i.e. gym, pool and dog friendly environment but mostly because of the staff like Maria Debiasi and Travis. Maria is kind and always helping me something. Thanks Maria and Travis for making the Odeon home!
