This kind of shop is the place I love to go to. Unfortunately they may have a good selection of items to choose from but their prices are exorbitant. I even was trying to get help on a simple candlestick lamp that did not have a hanging price tag and the staff was not eager to help. When I turned over the lamp and looked at the bottom it had the original price tag from Tuesday morning store that showed the original purchase price was $19.99. The worker finally came up to me and said that the retail price on the lamp they had asked a supervisor was $40.!Needless to say I don't think this is a very ethical business and certainly if they're trying to be they at least need to control their product quality to the extent that there is pricing and it's not conflicting with existing pricing stickers

Technically this is the Occasional Wife Estate Sale Store. Not sure why Yelp HQ, altered the name. One of the many services that OW offers is clearing a house for folks and I've found some great deals from their sales, from a settee to art to vintage yard equipment that is made with actual steel. This location is now the permanent home for their sales. I'm hoping with a more spacious locale the items for sale will be a bit more organized. Need a piano, they have one....or gewgaws or furniture or silver or dishes or whatever. Some of the stuff is junk and there are also great finds.Much of the merchandise is not priced and, as in all consignment/used shops, watch out for dings/chips/tears. The staff is helpful. The store is only open Friday & Saturday from 9am to 3pm.

Did you know that's it's illegal to sell cable boxes? It is now costing us 150 per box.Not impressed. I cannot start to tell you what your staff sold without even using their brains...sold chairs without the table, sold an instant pot without the accessories, sold a hand vacuum cleaner without the attachments, and the list goes on. Not impressed at all and will never recommend your company to anyone.

I find their prices on pieces are at times more than when they were new and not in questionable shape. Most are not antiques that have increased in price. Example. I had a gaming set that I paid around 20 for years ago. They are selling it for 25 and the latch was broken

We were moving and we recently hired Occassional Wife to run our estate sale. They were fantastic, so organized and upbeat. Their service is awesome. They moved furniture and displayed the items most attractively. Veronica researched and then priced the items fairly. I was made to feel so at ease as they took care of everything. I would highly recommend OW!

TOW specializes in estate sales, and not just this company BUT any company that specializes in estate sales, they have a start fee (anywhere between $300-$500) & TOW is $350. Then they take a percentage cut that is higher than 50/50, sometimes 60/40 in their favor. I have looked around and this seems the norm for the industry. But they will set up the entire sale and you do not have to be in the area while it is done (I'll be in Houston as the set up is happening). The financial numbers might seem high BUT remember they are doing all the work for you.

We chose The Occasional Wife at the recommendation of the realtor and due to the services they offer. We were cleaning out a family members home to sell. A daunting process given they had lived there 30 years and they saved every snippet of paper. The process took 5 days and while we ran into a few issues with dumpsters all was resolved in the end. Vanessa is wonderful to work with!I wish we could give more stars!

What a Relief!I collected lots of things over the years, antique toys, extra furniture, mid-century (and before) pottery, stuff like that. Things I really liked, but eventually had no place for. So a storage space . . . and a monthly storage bill that miraculously seemed to grow. I liked my stuff, but I never saw it, I just paid each month to put is someplace. Finally I called The Occasional Wife. It was smooth and easy -- they came and picked up my boxes of hidden treasures, I stopped paying for monthly storage, and they sent me a nice check. Easy peasy, no work on my part, and a huge relief. I you have treasures that are weighing you down, call The Occasional Wife.

My friend and I decided to go to an estate sale coordinated by this company. After arriving, my friend began coordinating my own estate sale because I died after seeing the prices this place was charging. I've been to many estate sales, but this place is by far the most outrageous I have ever experienced. What in the actual $@*# is this place thinking?
