The Louisiana General Store

This a gorgeous little gift shop, perfect for foodies and cooks. The navigation of the shop gets a bit crowded at times, since it also serves as the gateway to the New Orleans School of Cooking, and the attendees of both the school and those attending the cooking demonstrations will file in en masse when scheduled, but the shop itself is perfect for those on vacation in NOLA who want to take back home, or have shipped, all manner of New Orleans souvenirs and gifts, everything from sweets like pralines to sauces and seasonings, and they always have cute little tasting stations set up in several places. Tip: the restroom facilities are through the French doors at the right rear of the store, just beyond the Tabasco Gifts display. Fun place!
