Easy and friendly check-in. The entrance is understated but once you come in it's a beautiful lobby and multiple cozy cubbies which would be great for meetings or to have a drink from the bar. The bar is very nicely equipped with ample seating and very low key and comfortable. It doesn't open till 5 PM. The security is great with key access needed to get in the elevator and to select your floor. The elevators are well maintained. Our room was very clean, huge and well equipped and luxurious. It was The bed was clean and comfortable with four large pillows. We slept extremely well. In addition the TV was one of the bigger I have seen in a hotel (comparable to our suite in Vegas). I love the quiet, friendly, and beautiful environment. I will be back!

Pros; the rooms are very spacious it makes you feel like a home away from home for sure. No televisions in the bedroom's, but the kitchen appliances and tables make up for it, new refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher plates stoves, forks spoons all clean and neat. The mini television in the living room is underwhelming at 32 inches or so with google chromecast can be convenient if you familiar with technology, and casting. If not enjoy looking at television screensavers and no local tv stations. Cons;I didn't like the complicated check in process. I kept getting an error that was saying my identification did not match the card on file and I had to verify maybe 5 or 6 times just to get on the elevator and room number. After contacting customer service and taking nearly 6 hours to get into the room, the door code does not work properly, had to wait another hour, for code to be reset. It took a lot of extra time, and customer service were asking questions like what brings you to New Orleans?, and what's your reason for your stay as some sort of entry guidelines question after I had already paid money for the room and accommodations it felt invasive, and highly annoyed. The elevator keypad is broken and cracked you half to jam the buttons there is a clear crack on it, the neighborhood is not ideal one adult male was bleeding from his head in the lobby around 10 PM one evening, and after shopping at Saks Fifth at the top of Canal street I felt uncomfortable walking past so many loiterers , may not be ideal if your looking to avoid Ubers and renting a car. Walking is fine in small groups however I didn't notice severity on premises only concierge.

This was the best place for my family to experience New Orleans. It's about a mile from everywhere. We walked to The French Market, Bourbon Street, and we're able to catch the street trolly just outside the hotel. The rooms were spacious and had what we needed, the loby was beautiful, and there's a Cafe on the bottom floor. It was too cold for us to use the pool, but it looked beautiful. We were also given super helpful tips from the receptionists. I would definitely go back!

We stayed here for a night while we visited New Orleans. It's about a 15 minute walk to the French Quarter. The lobby was beautiful and clean. The unit was huge with a full size kitchen and living area. Everything was very clean. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom had a huge tub and no issues with hot water. My only complaint is that the only parking available is Valet and it's $45 a night. In addition to that, the valet service was pretty unfriendly. They seem annoyed to be talked to at all or asked questions and they definitely don't help at all with luggage or anything. They were just on their phones the whole time and clearly didn't want to interact with people. That being said the actual hotel service people were friendly.

The Jung Hotel is actually more roomier than I originally thought. They have both long-term and vacationers staying there. Quite a large building with multiple floors. The hotel was quite clean too. Our room had no carpet and was tiled instead. Looks quite contemporary as the room seemed well kept or recently remodeled. The bed, however, wasn't as hard because I felt concave to the middle each time I slept. The shower was large, too. Nicely tiled without a tub... thank God! However, their plumbing was horrible! No instant hot water, and it took a good ten minutes before I felt the warmth. The sinks are even worse. Forget it. Lol.Anyhow, it was a good experience, though, as cleanliness is my priority. Again, spacious rooms with a huge bathroom. Nice TV hung on the wall, and some nice furniture too.Service wise, everyone at the front desk was courteous. House cleaning people...? I'm not sure because they don't acknowledge you. I don't know what to say about that, but we requested room cleaning in the morning, and they never came. I hope it's only a miscommunication within. The hotel itself is nice, but the bar was never open. I don't even see alcohol stocked or displayed. The small weight room seems new too. It's probably because nobody really uses it. There is plenty of bottle water and towels to use inside, though.Overall, it was a good experience. Great place to go back to wash up and sleep. Nothing else was extravagant as it was quiet inside most of the time. There are plenty of meeting corners with a nice couch with matching seats and a coffee table. It's definitely not a five-star hotel. I won't even say four. I'd say 3-1/2. I was a bit disappointed with no maid service even after it was requested. So we had to go downstairs to the front desk to pick up more towels and soap.

This is a review for the Sonder apartment/hotel my friend and I stayed at that's apart of The Jung Hotel. We stayed in the Superior One-Bedroom Apartment on the 8th floor. The apartment hotel had quiet noise level during nighttime and early morning hours for bedtime, super comfortable queen-sized bed, enough bath towels, hotel amenities for the most part (but the tissue boxes they provided were so cheap), and it's a major plus that Sonder apartment hotel/Jung Hotel is within a very close distance to the French Quarter and everything else there is to do and see in NOLA. Plus, they have a scenic view of Downtown NOLA from the rooftop floor which also has a pool.Minus 1 star because the regular fridge wasn't working and so we couldn't use it, also the mini fridge we had worked acceptably until we left water bottles in overnight and they froze; I just don't prefer drinking frozen water bottles lol and it takes so long to thaw too before you drink it.

I enjoyed my stay at the Jung Hotel while in town for a conference. A couple of days before my stay, they informed me that the restaurant would be closed due to construction. I wish this information had been available prior to my booking through Hotels.com. My room was very nice and spacious, and it was ready for my early check-in as I had requested. This was great since I had a busy day and needed to get changed and everything. They also have a coffee shop and a bar in the hotel. The only complaint I have is that on the last evenings of my stay, Friday and Saturday, some other guests were loud in the hallway, and I could hear everything outside while trying to sleep. But since this is a hotel right off Canal, some noise is to be expected.

Dung-dung-dung-dung (pause, and a deep breath), dung-dung-dung-dung-duhunhuhunhung!!!!!Well, at least it didn't smell.I don't know where to begin with this property. I'm irked that I used my Chase rewards points for some cold floors and what looked like poop smear near the edge of my bed. Do you remember when your mom said "vacuum the living room or sweep the floors?"and your version of what she asked was to do it but not get the edges or move the furniture and get underneath to properly clean the area. Well, the little rag or mop used to clean this schmear did just that. I will not be back. Ever. Even after reincarnation.Oh, don't plan to sleep past 9:15. Impossible. House cleaning parades down the hallway like college RA's for your unplanned wake up call. Who in their right mind knocks on a door and yells "When are you checking out?". WTF. Just don't do it. There are other properties, albeit smaller, who will provide carpet and a working toilet (the proper place for dung) Now let me grab a couple of pros since I was conned outta my money.Pros:Huge roomWasher and dryerSmall/stocked kitchenAntonio in Valet is a sweetheart. Loved his energy! (The reason why I gave a 2-star)

CHECKIN & BUILDING -- greatMonique at reception was amazing-- so sweet & kind! The Lobby is an immediate "wow", immaculately designed for grandeur & glam. Very clean too.Unfortunately there's no late checkout; stern 12pm checkout time.ROOM [King] -- good https://youtu.be/Y_4Xx0RyOj4Lots of style points for this modern-classic look. I like the flooring visuals + the fact there's no dirty carpet to deal with. High ceilings & strategic lighting tie it all together. It's a spacious, albeit quirky, box layout; for w/e reason there's a huge pillar in center of the room... Windows also don't open. There's still plenty to rave about, from the cleverly designed compact storage, to the amazing reclining chairs. A huge work desk is setup in the corner for dedicated tabletop space. It's not so strong on comfort & ergonomics unfortunately.Privacy light is used instead of a dirty, flimsy, paper DnD signs (although ours didn't work...).BATH -- okLooks good but the devil is in the details:Huge vanity, bright & spacious. Good dimensions with warm & hefty towels. Walk-in shower was large & equipped with a decent hand shower. Its an underwhelming shower experience in the end due to slow heating water, weak water pressure, & dismal toiletries. It's not possible to use both the hand shower and overhead shower head simultaneously -- disappointing.AFAICT robe & slippers are no longer provided. FOOD & DRINK -- poorNot DoorDash friendly. No room service despite what Google says...The lobby bar still appears to be functional, but not competitive if in need of a real drink.Ice & vending on the floors.in-room: small mini fridge microwave free water coffee/teaTV & ENTERTAINMENT -- okHuge wall mounted TV servicing basic cable. The port accessibility is rather poor with this installation. Outlet distribution also makes it inconvenient if you're hoping to hook up a gaming system or HDMI device. There are a lot of outlets & USB ports, just not where you may need them.BED -- okSleeping accommodations were "mixed". Too few pillows & 2 sizes too small; while lacking in quantity, quality was on point, curtesy of the New Orlean collection brand. Linens were mediocre + this composition lacked a duvet. The Posteurpedic mattress was a hit !WI-FI & CELLULAR -- poorCellular reception is stable & good for work. The WiFi infrastructure is decent, although heavily asymmetrical on throughput + huge packet loss.--Performance--Video streaming - goodOnline gaming - goodVideo chatting - good --Nerd Stats--58-75 Mbps download 11-44 Mbps upload1.00% packet loss36 ms latency70 ms jitterNOISE -- badToo much white noise! The inability to turn off the vents/fans was a MAJOR irritant .LOCATION -- greatFelt very safe, cameras everywhere. Walkability is also high for all the tourists attractions.VERDICTFinal Price: $131.67/nightWas it worth it: yesBest part: reclining chairsHospitality was strong, accommodations were unique, but they've really cut back on amenities.I wouldn't stay here again but would recommend it as a decent option. 4/5

We booked this place for an extended long weekend in New Orleans for a football trip. The location is interesting. On one side you might think it's sketchy, on the other side you might think it's sketchy BUT it's a straight shot down Canal to all the major tourist spots. My friend had already checked us in as he arrived much earlier into NO than I did. However I think the hotel is a bit strange. I think the main lobby is shared by 2 hotels or a hotel and a residence, or at least it felt that way when the front lobby asked which residence we were staying in. Additionally the hotel has 2 sets of elevators that go to different floors. Rooms are large and clean. Our beds were really comfortable and there are a couple of bottles of water for the guests per day. Washrooms are nice and the TV is an OK size. It wasn't super loud during our stay and we were here for a Saints game so unsure if this is a party hotel for some of you. There's a coffee shop attached to the building. Location is cool, it's a hop, step and jump away from the stadium and a 10-15 minute walk down to the French Quarter and waterfront.
