The James Grace House

Now this is a hidden gem. I was made aware of this property last year, when Slow Food Organization's "Dinner In The Field" event was held there. The property is enormous with a rustic barnyard ready to be the setting for your next special event. It's completely ideal for weddings, where the ceremony is in the grassy field under a giant tree and the reception in the barn area. Twinklelights brighten the room and transformed it into something magical. Dr. Grace, the owner of the property is super helpful and hospitable to those that come to enjoy the beauty of his venue. Anytime there is an event here, I always want to make sure I attend. There is nothing commercial about it and that is what make it so appealing. It's truly an authentic southern space that you will definitely fall in love with and keep in the back of your mind for your next special function. It's located in Plaquemine, LA (about 20 minutes outside of Baton Rouge).
