The food is awful!!The jambalaya is basically just rice with very little meat and it's blend enough for babies to eat. I've honestly never had anything good from here.

I have no excuse as to why I've only had the jambalaya.. I wanted fish and on a whim I ordered from the Jambalaya Shoppe... it started with the friendly customer service over the phone..felt like i was chatting with an old friend.. but the fish!!! Fried to perfection and seasoned like I made it myself. Delicious is an understatement. It's really good. And the potato salad!! Seriously go get a fish plate on one of these Lenten Fridays and thank me later!

Tasteless fake Cajun food on their best day. We have ordered from there twice and both times the food has been very tasteless and bland. I've had both the pastalaya and their jambalaya. Both are equally bland. Next time I want jambalaya I'll just make it myself. Oh, the teenagers working there are rude and couldn't care less about acting professional. Sitting on the counters on their phones in the cooking area. Not a good way to run a business. I give it six months.

Certainly not the best jambalaya I've ever had. You can find much better in this part of the world. Found it to be dry and fairly bland. The catfish poboy, on the other hand, was pretty tasty. It was small, and very basic but had good flavor. I got the tartar sauce on the side. A little pricey. $11+ for a poboy and small side of jambalaya.

I gave this place a 3 star rating because i thought the pastalaya would be better than what it was. I'm not a big fan a jambalaya, however, i was unable to make it to get a lunch special. I'm hoping that one of these days i will be able to catch the lunch special.

Gotta kick it up a notch! Young people working who don't give a crap about anything. Ice cold gumbo. Literally cold like it came out of the fridge. I had to ask them to heat it. Jambalaya rice was hard and flavorless. Disgrace to the original owners, they should pull the franchise name from them. I'm normally not so harsh, but I gave it 3 good shots and each time it was the same. The first time I thought maybe just and off night, then second was somewhat better, but the 3rd was just over the top. Sorry that's my experience. I even called owners of the franchise name to complain.

The Jambalaya and Pastalaya are okay the white beans and other sides can stay at the restaurant! Also, the fact that they are often out of foood by mid-evening is a little crazy...COOK MORE FOOD...and support the community!

Picked up gumbo tonight for around $12 - it was 3/4 broth and hardly any food. I ordered a double corn and they didn't get that right either. We won't be back.

I am a huge fan of Jambalaya Shoppe in Baton Rouge. I dine very often. But this location is not good at all. I had a jambalaya bowl. There was no meat and very tasteless. The other locations are filled with flavor and meat. I will never return to this location. I'm not sure why they don't use the same recipe for all locations. Not a good look for business.
