Snowballs are good, but they make you wait for nooooooo reason at all. The guy in front of me asked, "y'all still taking orders?" We initially figured they were trying to get the line down, but we still had to wait when there were only three people at the stand (the guy who was getting his snowballs made, the guy in front me, & me).

They weren't open as they said. Their sign says 7 days a week (1-9pm). I drove from Metairie to try and it was closed at 6pm.#Disappointed

When I tell you I'm picky about a snoball and I'm a Texan lol but this place was on point! I went all the way to westwego when I was visiting last month when this was literally around the corner and passed this truck right on by but never again! They were super soft the most soft snoball I've had since the first one that changed my life from a stand in Houma in 2005

(9/1/2013) This place was talked up so much that I HAD to give it a try.Definitely lived up to the talk, but one bit of advice for the owner - PLEASE sharpen your sno-ball blades. Some of the ice was cotton candy/snow soft, but more than half of it was like icicle slices

I drive by this little snoball stand quite frequently, but never visited until this past weekend. My munchkin was having photos taken at her dance studio's Harvey location, which is very close to Frigid Zone. To bribe my reluctant 2 year old to smile, we decided the first snoball of the season would be a good idea.I had no idea they offered such an extensive list of flavors! The Cold Zone in Marrero is usually my westbank snoball stand of choice, primarily due to the proximity to my house. However, I prefer the cream flavors, which Cold Zone suffers in selection. Frigid Zone has a huge list of creams, including my all-time favorite, orchid vanilla cream. The prices are on par with other snoball stands. Don't expect Hansen's Sno-Bliz super-fine ice, but they make a good snoball, and you don't have to wait 30+ minutes for your treat in the heat. If you live on the Westbank, or just happen to find yourself in Harvey and craving a snoball, this is a great option. They have other items for sale as well, including soft-serve ice cream, sundaes, hot dogs, nachos, etc. I didn't try any of this, but I may get my snoball stuffed next time. Not only do they have vanilla, but also chocolate (and swirl). I'm thinking a strawberry cream flavored snoball stuffed with chocolate... mmm.Oh, and probably the BEST part, for anyone with kids: They have CLEAR flavors! There are probably 5-6 of them on the menu (I will take a photo sometime soon). While they will still result in a sticky mess if spilled, they won't stain clothing. This is the best idea ever, in my opinion. My munchkin loved the clear strawberry.

This is my GO TO snowball stand. I bring my two kids here several times a week. They are always so nice to me and my kids. Their snowballs are amazing and their prices are great! I always get my normal snowball Yellow Cake Batter stuffed with condensed milk but the other day when I went I told the girl I always want to try something new but I never do. So she let me try two different flavors to decide on. They are all around great !

We pulled up and wanted to pick up snoballs after the Gretna Food Truck Night. The back door was open but the window - clearly stating it was open 1-9p 7 days a week - and the teenagers working there were handing a snoball to a cop that was waiting. We rolled down our window to ask if they were open, and while they were throwing snow in the background, they replied "No we're done." At 7:34p on a hot day in May? Disappointing. We have a pretty strong assumption they were skipping out on their boss.

Just had a snow ball from here an hour ago...We passed by Hansen's first and the line was too long. I've passed this place so many times, and it just seemed like one of those Kona Ice truck deals (hard chunks of ice with nasty sweet generic tasting syrup). However, to my surprise, it's wasn't! It was pretty good for a snowball stand! There's a pretty extensive list of flavors. There are cream flavors too, and some new flavors recently added including Zephyr, latte, margarita, and a couple others. My son got an orange stuffed with vanilla ice cream topped with condensed milk. My sister got a strawberry cream stuffed with vanilla ice cream topped with condensed milk. I got a wedding cake cream flavor stuffed with vanilla ice cream. The vanilla ice cream that they stuff isn't the thick cream vanilla blue bell ice cream though, like many other snow ball places. It's the soft serve ice cream type, which is softer. Not bad.I wouldn't mind coming back here if i got a craving. They do have my Hansen's favorite flavor, nectar cream. Maybe I'll add to my review if I stop by and try it and will write about a comparison....

Slow service, employees spent more time chatting and playing on phones than making snoballs. Decent snoballs. On my way home but unless there is no line I will likely not stop again.
