The Chimes

The vibes of this place are awesome!! It gives a rustic loft feel, the food is delicious, large potions and very reasonable prices! They also have a nice patio seating area which is perfect for a nice day outside to have some drinks and just relax! The appetizers are amazing I love the fried bow tie artichoke! The salmon is delicious and perfectly cooked I like mine medium-well and it's not dry still juicy but fully cooked! I also really enjoy the fried cauliflower sandwhich the only thing is every time I have gotten it, it will crumble apart so it's hard to eat!

Our server Trey was great, very knowledgeable and attentive. The food was good! Nice portion sizes, especially for the seafood lasagna. It's huge, I had a full serving to take home and reheat after eating at the restaurant. Also, love the sauce on the crawfish fries.

Food was amazing. Service was the best I have had in a while. Everyone enjoying there jobs made it a very nice dinner. Restaurant is always spotless and roomy seating. It is not all bunched together where you are bumping into people

This is my new go-to spot when visiting Lafayette! It's a beautiful building with tall ceilings and a huge patio area, and might I say the bar area is luxurious. It's a total vibe. I ordered the Catfish Perdu and sipped on a Tiger Eye. The drinks are strong and reasonably priced, just how I like it. You also get a lovely little side salad with your entree. Definitely looking forward to my next trip here.

The food and service was excellent! Our server, Trey, had great recommendations and was so helpful. My only complaint was the hostess stand. I came with a larger party and had called a week in advance to see the best route for getting a table since they don't do reservations. Following advice, we sent someone to get on the waitlist at 6:30, hoping to be sat for 7:45 and were not sat until 8:30. The hostess looked confused, "could not give us an estimated wait", and were just a little rude. So we were waiting with no clue around when we would be sat.. for 2 hours. Other than that the restaurant itself and service was incredible! Would not recommend for larger parties.

Chimes is always a fun and tasty dining experience when visiting Louisiana. My husband and I enjoyed boudin eggrolls, red beans & rice, and crab/corn soup. All were tasty. We agreed the soup was our favorite of the three. The service was excellent as well!

5:45pm Sat evening, 20/25 min wait. No issues, went to bar and serviced fairly quickly. It was busy. Crab fingers and dozen oyster for appetizers which may have been too much since dinner came w salad. I ordered crawfish et toffee and wife had pork chops. Today @ lunch, we finished those . Overall good food, good service (thx Monica), and value were good. It's loud, so kinda a party atmosphere.

The building is really nice with a lot of textures, brick n wood but for as big as it is and as big as the parking lot it's really not that big inside in comparison! I was surprised as to how there's not a lot of inside seating so this may be why there's always a wait! The bar is nice with good lighting. Make sure to say you want to sit inside on a hot day because the back patio is warm even with fans & what appears to be AC vents!The service was excellent! The food was as expected average for the price. A good casual place for kids, to have a beer. The cauliflower burger was tasty but crunchy so I'm guessing undercooked! The salads are pretty & tasty! The grilled chicken breast was ok. Yes I recommend but I wouldn't wait 2.5 hours to get in here...maybe 30 minutes but no longer!

Ah yes, The Chimes. The ambiance is 10/10. Really love the whole vibe you get in there. Parking can be hit or miss depending on time of day. Location is spot on. The service is essentially just college kids but they are doing a great job. This brings me to the food. The food is solid. Is it the best or even top 5 in the area. No. To me, everything is slightly under seasoned. Maybe that's why there is Tony's on the table. By no means is the food bad. It's like 7.9/10. Idk how that translates to stars. 4.5/5 would be my score but 4 is what we got. Will go back. Just not racing over there.

Food alone, I'd go with a 4, but the restaurant is SO VERY loud. It was hard for our party of four to converse across the table from each other.The seafood lasagna is very rich as well we got two meals out of it. The seafood pasta was fair - I wouldn't order again.
