The broadside is a great venue! I've been there a few times now including for a concert one night. They have food inside and there's a outside bar as well. There's a lot of covered seating and during the winter they set up some outdoor heaters. There are a lot of good cocktails on the menu. It has a really eclectic schedule as well. Definitely check it out!

Loved it! A nice venue that has only gotten better and better over the years. What started as a creative answer to the pandemic, is now a friendly, comfortable place for music and movies.

Nice outdoor venue. Very spacious with standing room mainly but there are some seated areas around the perimeter. You can bring your own chairs as well.

Pandemic Review:This outdoor theater opened in October in response to the pandemic and movie theater restrictions. It's located next door (across the side street) from the Broad. And it's a wonderful (and safer) addition to the neighborhood. The theater has a wide variety of entertainment from sports to movies to live music to a theatrical review. I took my Mom to see the le Petite production of NOLA Noel on December 23rd. And the weather was great... not too chilly for my Mom and a very clear night. The chairs were well spaced and since we had to purchase tickets in advance, the seating was arranged by ticket groups. The seating were adirondack styles some low, some high. We brought a couple of blankets just in case and Mom was happy to have those. There are portolets for bathrooms. And there is a trailer serving snacks and cocktails (a hot apple cider for Mom and hot buttered rum for me). Plus there was a food truck in the parking lot before the show started. The show was really fun and the theater company made great use of the space and some popup tents for costume changes. All staff were wearing masks and patrons were expected to wear them too unless eating and drinking. We were spaced well and it was outdoors so Mom could enjoy some theater!

I went to the Broadside Theater for a daytime show - a "Funeral for 2021". This is a fenced-in outdoor space, gravel for ground cover, with Adirondack chairs and picnic tables for seating (well spaced out for COVID). There is a large raised stage and movie screen. Masks are enforced for patrons and staff. They have a small trailer with refreshments and some port-a-potties for bathrooms. And as an added bonus, a HUGE parking lot! I enjoyed my production and this space and will definitely be back.

Creatively appointed outdoor space allows for safe movie watching during a pandemic. The hot buttered rum kept us warm during the film, which had excellent sound quality for the location. The seating arrangements allowed for distancing within a group atmosphere. Bring a blanket and friend and do something out of the house...together!

What a great idea, fine location, well planned layout, and delightful staff. Why there are no more Broadsides all over town defies my understanding! I don't see this as temporary at all - I expect it will be around for a long time, and well deserved! Well done folks!

Really nice outdoor venue BUT there's a bbq smoker thing for the food RIGHT next to the stage and frankly, the whole venue reeks of bbq smoke... if you're not vegan maybe its not an issue, but wow so smokey Not my fave! Maybe move the smoker and food away from the stage? I tried the food and it wasn't very good to begin with.

Was in LA from TX, saw this amazing event and had to get tickets!! But I am sooo disappointed!! First, the event was running late. More than an hour to be exact. Second, the "photobooth" was not set up for Mean Girls. It was literally just hand held photo props. Third, the food and service... horrible! The food was not movie themed as advertised. The venue overall was a nice place. But not at all decorated or set for the theme. Other customers were dressed as part of the Mean Girls movie. I think that was the best part of it. Ended up leaving right when the movie started. Waste of time and money!!
