The Bower is a must visit spot in New Orleans for anyone!Apart from the best service we have ever received it is such a beautiful environment we could not help but take pictures inside and outside. Additionally the food was the best we have had in New Orleans. Have come back at least once every time we visit, and could not recommend it more to anyone who visits! Everything on their menu is worth a try and their happy hour provides an excellent selection

Apparently, in New Orleans there is a Christmas tradition called Réveillon Dinners. Quick History Lesson - Back in the day, the Creole people would serve these big dinners to celebrate Christmas after they returned from midnight mass and these Réveillon dinners are in honor of that tradition. Luckily not held after midnight. It was my last night in the city and I felt that I had try one of these dinners. This place was walking distance and had a decent crowd on a previous night so this was it. Seats in the front of the restaurant were the regular setup but the back was holiday themed, which was cute. 4 courses in total. In order of course, I selected the Pork Belly & Scallions, Piquillo Pepper Carbonara, Duck Confit, and French Triple Cream Cheese. Fave out of them all? Duck Confit ... I've never in my life had duck confit but it was so good. It may be a bit much for some but it was so tender and just overall delicious. The 4 courses were ~$70. Very reasonable if you ask me.Staff was amazing. I wish I could remember the name of the lady who took care of me. She was absolutely amazing and seemed interested in my food tour around the city. It's a good spot and I'd definitely keep it on my "good" NOLA list.

Me, my girlfriend and 2 other couples came for dinner for New Year's Eve and we were excited to try the menu. There was a set menu for NYE. It was terrible. Firstly, we received an oyster each that were not cut away from the shell. Also there were 6 oysters and they did not give us any plates... we ordered a total of 3 bottles of wine, which was nice, however our party was given wine glasses that still had stains on the glass and lipstick etc etc. The scallop crudo we ordered, the sauce was nice but the scallops were fishy and smelled fishy. The butternut squash bisque was actually spot on and really good. 5 of us ordered the filet and myself I ordered the salmon. The salmon was over cooked and the filets hit all range of temps, one person had well done and one person had blue raw, when they all ordered medium rare and the pasta that came with the steak was supposed to be Al dente, but was crunchy and still raw. Also, my girlfriend went to use her new fork for the steak and it was dirty. For dessert we had a a choice between a brownie with ice cream and banana custard and cookies. The brownie was over cooked and hard as a rock so were the cookies of the banana custard dish. The portion of ice cream was so small that it was probably less than a tbsp per dish. After the $1000 dinner for 6 people we all got sick probably from the scallops. I would not recommend.Overall we discussed this set menu and were excited to try it, however we were very disappointed. The service was probably 3 stars and the food was 1 star.

Imagine a starving man crawling through the desert gasping for water and craving just a small bite of food. Far on the horizon there appears an oasis -- a plate of food appears on a platter -- but alas! It is for a different table. A party that arrived 45 minutes after you did. The server reassures you, for the fourth time, that your food will arrive any minute now. But it never does. Dear reader, for all you know we are still sitting at this restaurant, wondering if our food will ever come. Pray for us. We might never eat again. Sincerely,A starving soul

I came for bar humbug. The bar was decorated so nice. It was super festive. The service was pretty good and the drinks were great. Everyone at the table enjoyed their drinks even the ones that rarely finish their drink. I had 2 appetizers. The truffle bread was ok. There was a sweetness to it that I didn't really care for. The lamb meatballs were really good.

I've never paid so much for a terrible drink with so much cinnamon that I literally could not drink (or else it would go in my nose) and for some mediocre cheese and 2 pieces of cauliflower that made me want to ask the chef for a replacement. I spent 30 for a drink and an appatizer (not including the unfortunate tip I had to give) and it might've been a worse investment than investing in $hawk-tuah coin

Nice spot on magazine- the space is beautiful and huge, I was surprised how the dining area expanded to the back and even outside. There are lots of plants and it's a nice spot for a group dinner or a date. Lots of fun cocktail options- I tried the Ube one and the flavor was lovely, it wasn't too sweet but very aromatic. Definitely on the pricier side (all the drinks were around $14-16). For my meal, I got the basic spaghetti. The noodles were perfectly al dente, the texture was so good. The pesto sauce was very satisfying and the balsamic drizzle cut through the fattiness nicely. I love the giant pile of burrata on top. My only complaint about this place and the reason I can't give 5 stars is the food took a rather long time to come out (about 30 minutes). It was busy and a Friday, but I was definitely on the verge of hanger.

What a great place! Large space, clean, and comforting. I'd recommend sitting in the back by the bar or outside! It was a great area for relaxing after work! Everything was good. Service was quick and attentive. Not much to say about the food. We had a work get together with drinks and appetizers. So our menu was limited, but there were no complaints from our selections.

The ambiance is beautiful! A bit small but cozy. Our table of 7 ordered about 4 different pasta dishes and they were all bland, no seasoning! The whipped feta appetizer was yummy. This is a one and done for me.

Came to The Bower during a professional development conference. One of the well-known EHR companies hosted a HH for their customers. This was a nice way to be appreciated, not just for spending our hard earned money to ensure clients, business operations, and admin/logistics are handled accordingly, but also to simply recognize how hard mental health clinicians/providers work on a daily basis. I didn't get any pictures of the food that was served but there was a variety of finger foods. Charcuterie boards, hummus, and other dips, crackers, etc. We also indulged in cocktails/wine at the bar. The Bower is a beautiful restaurant with both indoor and outdoor seating. Great location for date night, happy hour with friends/family, and solo dinners. Highly recommend stopping by and I will return when I'm in NOLA!
