The Blue Crab Northshore

Came off a fishing charter. Handed them our catch and they cooked ot to order and threw in a side for $10. Can't beat that!Great live music on a Saturday afternoon. Great bar selection.The hush puppies were dry and overcooked. I'd definitely go back and try other things.

Had chargrilled oysters as appetizer. Lots of shell, under cooked, and under seasoned. Overpriced!Blue crab pasta was cold and very bland, lots of crab shells and the spinach in it had a funky taste. 2 biscuits served on plate and they were hard, cold and old tasting. Inedible. This was a Mkt dish and very pricey!!Stuffed crabs..VERY small crab bodies, so very little crab stuffing in them for an entree. French fries covered most of the plate (no hush puppies) and another very old tasting biscuit. Again, very pricey for what was served. For what we paid for one cocktail, a couple of beers, an appetizer, and 2 entrees, was ridiculous for food of this low quality.

Food and service. I ordered crab cakes. If there was 2 ounces of crabmeat between the two cran cakes, it would shock me. My wife has brown lettuce in her salad. When telling the server, she passed it off as a reaction to the salad dressing. Dinner for 4 - $165.00 before tip and 1 was a burger another a salad. Made two trips - first and last.

Woah nelly!! We dropped by for an afternoon cocktail and apps. This place is AMAZING!!!!! The crabmeat au gratin and grilled oysters were high end delicious!! Chef Julious ..... I will tell you that he is passionate about cooking. I highly recommend the Blue Crab! I will dream of being there at night for dancing on the deck on lake Pontchatrain

I and my family recently dined at the Blue Crab in Slidell. The food was quite enjoyable, offering a variety of flavors and well-prepared dishes. However, there was room for improvement in the drink selection. Overall, a positive dining experience with great potential for an even better one.

Chargrilled oysters and crabs ! Need I say more ?!!! Super sweet staff and relaxing vibes . Perfect location on the water .

I've been wanting to try this spot for a couple of years and finally had the opportunity. I started off with a dozen oysters on the half shell which were excellent! I also had a shrimp poboy that unfortunately was not as good. The shrimp were VERY small and the breading on the shrimp would fall off because the shrimp were so small. Not only were they small but lacked flavor as well. My Dad had gumbo that he said was ok and a catfish platter that he said was good but could have used a bit more seasoning. The location is very nice with great water views and lots of boats cruising by. The service was very good as well. Overall it was OK. I would give them another try but would not order the same thing.

Slidell peeps, you must go. For one, huge volleyball are that seems really fun. Usually packed out on weekends. Now to the good part, FOODS. Whether you go for their brunch, lunch or dinner; food is always so good. Beachy vibe with boat docking and gas fill-up stations. My FAVORITE dish I always get, Wedge Salad with Blue Cheese Ice Cream. No it's not real ice cream but it's 2 smooth, creamy blue cheese dollops of goodness. Staff is friendly and pretty quick to tend to your needs. Will be back time after time!

The restaurant sits on the lake & has windows that looks out on it. It also has a nice size outdoor area. The blue crab dip had a nice flavor to it, it also had some corn in it. The pasta had a rich flavor to it & it was very cheesy. The food tasted fresh but it wasn't super hot how I would've liked it. It was just warm. While eating both dishes I found that there were small pieces of crab shells in it, so just something to keep in mind. I didn't feel uncomfortably stuffed, which let me know that the quality of the food was great. I would revisit in the future, I just wouldn't rush to do so. It was decently good. A place worth checking out if you're visiting or in the area.

Terrible place to eat! This is our 2nd time coming and food has not improved. Ordered fried calamari which was greasy and chicken and sausage gumbo was the worst that I have ever tasted. For having a great view and opportunity to park your boat to grab drinks and food what a disappointment.
