This place is just gorgeous. Every space is different in a wonderful way. I was mildly annoyed that the rooftop bar closed early the last time I went, but I get it. Nobody was up there.

It was a nice hotel. The staff in the evening was ok. In the am the staff checked me out 2 days early. The room needs updating 4 sure. Upon arrival it appears elegant....

Had an absolutely horrible stay or the lack of for the Mardi Gras celebration in the New Orleans. At Booking.com, where I am a Genius Level 3 with HUNDREDS of successfully completed stays, during neither of which I needed to pay for any damages made as simply there were none made. I have a LEGAL background and I used to work for a moment at a Reception of a Hotel and it is a Hotel's / Chain's responsibility to ensure everything is compliant, especially as it concerns additional charges and the overall price, as the Hotel attempted to charge me over USD 200 for the damages deposit, while neither in the pricing nor in the Policies section of their Hotel at Booking.com such a deposit was NEVER mentioned, therefore I refused to pay it, which resulted in myself and the companion (both of us being considered DISABLED at the moment - myself due to left leg oedema and left knee injury, so I can barely walk) being denied to check-in at almost midnight leaving us without a place to stay in a foreign country. As it is a Hotel's legal obligation to provide all pricing details either directly or in Policies section, a lawsuit shall follow as my left leg got worse because of this atrocious treatment, as I was forced to search for an altetnative accommodation at midnight walking with a heavy luggage while I can barely walk.

This place was a freaking dump,charge you for stuff u never used.Staff at front desk was rude as hell. Party I was there with had their credit cards charged $2,000 to one and $4,000 another.only good thing I can say about this place was the vallet guys were great.pulled back the blanket on bed hair band fell out then sitting on the bed hair band on the floor which tells me they didnt clean it.DO NOT STAY HERE

I stayed in The Barnett hotel towards the end of October. While I was away at a concert, someone unlocked my room and helped themselves to several cards, electronics, and jewelry that were, ironically, left in our room to minimize the risk of being mugged or pick pocketed while walking around New Orleans.The staff couldn't seem to care less. I was ultimately blamed for my door having been unlocked and left open, despite the fact that I wasn't in the hotel when it happened (they read the lock for timeframe and I have timestamped photos that prove I wasn't on the premesis during that time). Triggs, the security manager, was increasingly rude and unwilling to answer my questions when I called to check in on the "investigation".I was told that there were no cameras near my room and that was nothing that they were willing to do to resolve my issue. The manager of the hotel was contacted several times via email with no response, almost a month later. Hyatt corporate has also yet to return my phone call.In addition to all of that, the beds were uncomfortable and the shower didn't have a door so it created a huge mess everytime we used it.I cannot express this enough - if you value your possessions do not stay here.

Great location as a downtown hotel. Close to a lot of activities. Disappointed with the room. Photo's on their website make the room look a lot better than what it was. Hotel feels dated and can do with a makeover. Staff were professional and service oriented.

The Barnett Hotel's management is incompetent. I booked a suite with a private patio and a larger living room area. This was booked off of the hotels website (not a third party). Once we arrived we were given a regular small room with no patio. We had to go back to the front desk to ask what happened to our suite. At that point we were told the suites were being renovated. This was a scheduled renovation so I'm not sure why the general manager didn't pull the room listing from the hotel's website. Nothing they could do other than put us in a different smaller room with a shared patio. At no point did management communicate any of this to us before our stay. Chantelle The general manager told me she called to leave a voicemail but the voicemail is 30 seconds of background noise and the las three seconds is her saying "hello?" And then hanging up. We were also kicked off of a day bed at the pool area because it was reserved for someone else. At no point did any of the staff tell us they were reserved and there were no reserved signs on them. Brought this to managements attention and they shrugged it off. Front desk agents were also rude and uncooperative and wanted you to know that they clearly did not care about making anything right.
