We wanted to check this place out and glad we caught it when it was open as it has short hours. We found it in an alley and once inside the small space, we felt the reprieve from the heat with the air conditioning. The lone employee was super nice and explained to us the general background of the place, even though it was clear we were not going to be purchasing anything that day. There are some unique pieces of art by Dr. Suess, some in books, and others not. I liked the section where they had the drawing and then what it looked like in the book side to side. The pieces were all pricey, as it should be, and we enjoyed our short time here checking it all out. Put this on your list when walking around the French Quarter.

So inspiring!! If we had more room in our RV I'm sure we'd have gone home with an original... There were a lot of types of art and sizes available, and the gal working there told us they frequently turn over the art you can get your hands on, which is great to keep the variety going! The prices were honestly lower than we expected on most items. We tour a lot of galleries and have invested in tens of thousands of dollars of original art over the years... so the only reason we didn't go home with a piece was our space restraints.Overall the conversation made us smile, the service was fantastic, and seeing all those original sketches was incredibly inspiring.

Little magical space of Dr.S art. We found this by accident behind the blue outlined door on a side street. Original pieces where you can see original pen strokes, crayon colors and drafts. This space is located in the back of another art gallery that's delicious in its own right. Literally the size of a small kitchen, but filled to the ceiling with cool art. Great for a budding young artist aged 7 and up to view. Listen, not all kids are alike and I have raised mine to know that nothing can be touched in a gallery, unless stated. I was asked twice by attendants where my daughter was, not if I needed assistance or any info. This isn't a bad call on the gallery, however maybe attendants should come and walk with a child and educate them on the works. Just a suggestion.

Great gallery showing Dr. Seuss's work, including some 3D art that really impressed my kids. We walked in because it was right next door to the hotel we were staying at. We loved the quotes and some of the stories behind each painting. We spent a bit of time in here just enjoying each art and seeing if our girls can remember it from certain books we've read to them. It's worth a stop!

Interesting prints and originals. I really, really wanted a few. Not even being a big Suess fan, I found it to be more than novel. It was fascinating watching his progress from sketch to finished, as the designs would sometimes change around for the printing of the pages in the books.Suess also dabbled a bit in the not so kiddo art. Nothing too crass, just silly. Your kids'll be fine. Just watch your step and accessories, like backpacks, when in there.

I have to say if I may that Dr. Seuss is one of my favorite childhood authors. My daughter and I walked in to a happy well informed woman and explained the art to us. The artwork was beautiful and like a deja vous from thirty years ago. It's a must stop if you like green eggs and ham!

In the spirit of Dr Seuss, I will start my review with a poem:If you want a store that's good, treat your clients like you should. And if you want to grow more rich, get off your butt, don't be a... ... ummm... let's go with grumpy lady.I was BEYOND excited when I saw the store as I am totally redecorating TWO bedrooms - one for my 5 year old daughter and one for my 3 year old son.I went through the door and was literally scowled at by a woman sitting behind the desk. I expressed that I was excited that this store existed and that I had just found the idea for my kids rooms. Now these are high ticket items and I am fortunate that money isn't really an issue, so I started looking around. The woman literally glared at me (not stared, but literally glared at me) the whole time. I asked if I could take a picture of the store to show my wife back home in MN and she got even weirder and at first said "as long as I am not in it" and then as I got ready to take it she said "you know I don't feel comfortable with you having a camera".Ok, WTF?!? Seriously? WTF?!? All this entire time, she never got up from behind the little desk that she was sitting at.Now (not feeling wanted there at all) I felt uncomfortable and left.I will never go back to this store.Side note, you can get ALL of this stuff in the store online (I later found out after a search), but I was about to spend literally thousands and thousands there because I was there, I was excited and I had the means to do so.Needless to say, this is somewhere and someone who tarnishes the memory of Dr Seuss.

Disappointing. The studio is very small which is fine, but the girl working there was extremely unfriendly and stand-offish. We felt a little awkward just being in there because she basically just glared at us and never said a word. Kind of cool to see original art by Dr. Seuss but we didn't stick around long.
