This small market was a gem, and a great place to support local artists! It's open thursday-sunday from 7pm-12am, and you can follow them on Instagram @artgardennolaIt's a small rectangular area with booths on the sides and the center. When we went on a Thursday evening, it wasn't too busy. The lights throughout the market during the night added a great touch, and all of the artists are nice and friendly. There's a moderate selection of art; there's about maybe 12 booths throughout the market. Some of the booths had great deals too of you bought more than one item!

Unexpected find!We were on Frenchman when we noticed this area. It's essentially a mini art walk of sorts as many vendors sell their crafts there.Don't be fooled though. The pieces are pricey. You can tell a lot of work has been put into these pieces and let me tell you all those pieces range in diversity. Paintings, sculptures, jewelry, even toilet seats. The creativity knows no bounds.A good thing to sightsee. Vendors are generally friendly.

This is a cute little area to see local artist art work - but don't be fooled by 'local artist' outside cuteness - the art is expensive! Not sure how artist price things - but really feel they should travel and see what other venues like this have and what the artist charge, they might sell a ton more if they understood the market...Either way, worth seeing and looking at things - there are some cool things - is you can afford it....

This outdoor, evening market took me totally by surprise. While it is just off of Frenchmen, it's surprisingly calm and quiet - ever so slightly tucked away from all the hustle. While it's small, the artists appear to have ample room to display their items. Also, this area is incredibly clean in comparison to what lies just beyond the fence.I fell especailly in love with the Edison bulb art by Junk Evangelist. I want all of their creations to light my entire house! There are so many fantastic items for sale. Forget the "Made in China" crap found on the main drags. Stop here for a breath of fresh air in a locally-created, creative space.

What a unique and great addition to Frenchmen Street! Located right next to Adolfo's is The Art Garden and Floating Art Gallery, which features handmade paintings and jewelry by local artists. The gallery is opened to the public nightly from Thursday-Sunday.With drinks in hand, we were trying to pass the time around Frenchmen Street until our table was ready at a nearby restaurant. Out of the blue as we were walking, we happen to stumble upon this cute hidden gem. The Art Garden and Floating Art Gallery was certainly a breath of fresh air compared to the chaos of Bourbon Street. There were about half a dozen or so local artists set up with tables, featuring various works of art. These guys and gals are amazingly talented, especially with all the time and effort they put into their prized creations. Pricing was variable with it being moderate to high, depending on the labor and quality materials put into the items. I really don't mind the higher pricing since I was helping to support local artists. We ended up with a one-of-kind oil painting, two watercolor paintings, a children's book, and a simple handmade freshwater pearl necklace.Head over to The Art Garden and Floating Art Gallery to see what local artists have up their sleeves. We had a wonderful time browsing artwork and chatting with the artists. Finding a friendly, inviting oasis was definitely the highlight of our Frenchmen Street adventures that weekend.

This place gets 5 stars. Reason number 1... It feels like a garden hence the name. Instead of beautiful flowers art replaces the pedals. Number 2Compared to Frenchman Art Gallery this place is quarter of the size with a very cozy feeling. Making it more of an intimate experience. Reason number 3Management is super cool and friendly. Has remembered my name from my 1st visit. Makes me feel special every time! Reason number 4 The energy seems so chill making your experience less rushed compared to the other art market. So if your looking to buy or sell this is your place...

This is a lovely break from the hubbub outside. AND, there's some legit good art in here. A wonderful place to look around. Since I was traveling light, I did not buy anything, but, I took cards from two artists and plan on shopping from home.

Very cute place to check out if you're in the area. You get to meet local artists who are very passionate about what they do. When I visited it was mainly handmade jewelry and paintings. I purchased a graphic screen printed onesie for one of my patients. It was pretty pricey but all the money supports the artist and I'm down for the cause.

Loved this place. It has a great atmosphere with some fun art and jewelry. Great photo ops and sidewalk chalk to draw if you are into that. Bars all around if you want a drink too. All the artists are there and some are even painting on site so it's pretty cool. I defiantly recommend taking the time to go, plus it's not near as crowded as the tourist area.
