This was my first visit to the restaurant in years and they have revamped the area. The ambiance is casual with a square sized bar in the middle of the main dining room and about ten or so tables along the walls. Happily the food was more delicious than my last trip there (sometime before the 2020 quarantine). I was at the museum for a symposium on the newest exhibit (Fighting for their Right to Fight) and had 90 minutes for lunch. I wanted a meal that would be satisfying but not make me drowsy. Typically, I would avoid red meat for that purpose, however, there are so few short rib dishes on local menus that when I saw the short rib gnocchi on the menu, I had to get it. After discussing it with my server, Cameron, I decided that the size would probably fit my appetite. The portions, temperature and flavors were perfect! I would definitely get it again. Cameron served at the bar and he provided pleasant and attentive service. The staff had a smooth operation and based on my seat, all the dishes served looked appetizing. I enjoyed my meal and then walked to the exhibit down the hall to experience it before returning to the symposium. Definitely consider American Sector next time you are in the area.

While touring the WW2 Museum and being exposed to an overwhelming amazement event that is the museum, we developed some good ole fashion hungry pains. We stopped in to this on-site establishment. The place is clean and staff greeted us with genuine smiles and quickly made us feel welcomed. The food caromas drifting in from the kitchen. The prices didn't invade our wallets and force us into a difficult choose. The food matched the smell we detected. The shrimp po-boy was so delicious and worth enjoying every bite. The food is good. It's a must have stop in the museum.

Just what we needed! American burger, bomber burger - great cook, great flavor, perfect proportions, and regular but decent fried with great seasoning. Caesar salad was actually a decent portion, not a healing pile of lettuce like usual. We tried the lemon meringue and it was so cute and tasty, we loved the personal serving size. We tried the juicifer IPA, to be expected. Rosemary the riveter was delicious, perfect sizing and not an overpowering liquor taste. The service was impeccable, we were waited on by two individuals who were so on top of things. No complaints.

We came in here for a bite and a drink after a couple of hours at the World War 2 museum. Their dining room is light and spacious-we were able to easily seat our party of seven. I ordered their Caesar salad which was simple and good. I like their combination of greens with the Caesar because it gave it great texture. I also ordered a cocktail, the Purple Heart. This was indulgent-I loved the gin and blueberry forward flavors in this cocktail and it was refreshing on a 90 degree day. This meal was elegant, fresh, tasty and a wonderful way to recharge before spending more time in the museum. I would love to come back!

One of the most upscale museum restaurants that I've visited, clean, modern and spacious. WW2 museum restaurant , named after the American sector of West Berlin from 1945-1989.Came here on a Monday at 11:35am, and the place was almost empty. Immediately shown to a prepared table, equipped with cloth napkins wrapped around clean metal fork and knife.Took about 8 minutes for our ordered food to come. The $10 bowl of soup du jour corn chowder and crab was a disappointment, with no creamy soup, and no crab to be tasted. The $11 bowl of gumbo should have been renamed as rice gumbo, as far more rice than chicken and Andouille sausage combined. The soup was a bit on the thin side.Wife and I split the $19 fried shrimp po-boy. It had six breaded shrimp overwhelmed by the size of the French bread, and potent aioli sauce, supplemented by lettuce, tomato, and pickles. Not sure why you need breaded shrimp instead of grilled shrimp when you have the shrimp on a large piece of bread.Dish came with fries- will have to remember to order unsalted fries next time, although these were pretty tasty, and not too salty. Seems like fries are the state vegetable, as haven't seen any other vegetable aside from salad on the menu.

My friend and I were going to see a Christmas show at the Stage Door Canteen so we decided to stop at the sector bar for drinks. The bar was a little busy on Sunday afternoon around 2:00pm but service was still great. We decided to get Holiday themed drinks and they were delicious.

Service was questionable, it took a while to get our food. It was hot though. No one came back to us after we got our food.I love the pictures.Ambiance was amazing everyone really minded there own business and we were able to talk within ourselves. The food was amazing. The portion of fries is enough for at least 4 people. They frogot some of my change they were supposed to give back.

If you're in New Orleans, don't miss The American Sector at the WWII Museum. They serve the BEST shrimp po' boy ever! The shrimp is perfectly seasoned and fried, nestled in a fresh, crusty roll. It's a must-try for anyone craving an exceptional po' boy. Highly recommend!
