This used to be our go-to place for Chinese food in Slidell. Family ritual - we got Chinese food every Sunday for years, and usually from here. However, the whole experience has gone downhill since the pandemic. Long list of disappointments. The portion sizes are smaller. They don't offer brown rice any more. In general the food is just not as good as it used to be. Consequently, we don't get food from here regularly or often. It saddens me because this was a favorite place that I would recommend to people.One personal peeve - in the past, I could call in an order and it was ready when I got there. Lately, I call in an order and then I still have to wait once I get there. Based on the timing, I think they don't even start cooking it until I show up. On the other hand, while I am waiting around for my phoned-in order, there is a steady stream of people coming in to pick up their (presumably) phoned-in orders. So maybe it's just me. Your results may vary.

I rarely order takeout but I wasn't feeling well enough to go get food. Decided on this place through Uber eats. The stir fried noodles Fun mei style were fresh and tasty. The egg rolls came wrong order. Or just terrible! Supposed to be Shrimp egg rolls but nothing but lettuce inside. The crap Rangoon ok. And so was the chicken moo goo gai pan. The chicken was slimy and mushy. Nope. Never again. Take out.

I was curious to try this place because of my wife. She tried this place once, then I noticed she returned again and again especially for her lunch breaks. She finally took me with her the other day, needless to say it was super tasty. Now I'm back! I got the shrimp with broccoli and shrimp stir fried rice, with shrimp egg roll and egg drop soup. Everything was hot and delicious! Apologies for mostly eaten egg roll and food, I was eating not thinking about reviews. The service was very courteous, prices very affordable, food is scrumptious and filling. Will definitely be back again and again, highly recommend!

What's going on Taste Of China? Yall use to be the best Chinese in Slidell. We have to agree, you are cutting corners too much & it's taking away from what we were use too. Your rice noodles have changed, your portions have gotten smaller, you use to lay the mandarin chicken over lettuce & the brown gravy has changed, & chicken over done , egg rolls are half empty, no green onion in your egg drop soup? just not like it use to be. Will try one more time & will update review if it gets better . Hopefully the owners will listen to customers

Where do I start...this was our go to for Chinese food in Slidell. We've frequented this establishment for 5+ years and watched the owner's children grow up. We've noticed the change in over the past year or so with the lack of attention to detail and customer service. I placed an order, and they got it wrong and after a 10-minute debate over verifying what we actually ordered (a mix up of white rice and lo-mien), we were told that we are able to come in to swap white rice for lo-mien for an additional charge). After we hung up on an absurd request, we received a call back from TOC management saying that they will swap the white rice for lo-mien for a charge, but why would I do that if the mix up was on their end. I refused to accept or go back to an establishment that decides to expect the customer to pay for the employee's error. They have lost a long-term established customer.

AVOID THIS PLACE. ITS GARBAGE FOOD .I was there yesterday for lunch 10-3-2023. I ordered The Combination (Roast Pork Chow Mein) for $9.95 w tax $10.82. On the Credit Card Receipt they have an"in your face" break Down on TIP PERCENTAGES. Folks this place is a MAJOR RIP OFf!!! The Rice was Black like it was sitting in Soy Sauce all night. There was virtually no Roast Pork. It was like the Fried Rice it was dark black. This is done to mask the fact the fact that there no Vegetables other than cheap brown onions. It did not cost them $1.00 to make this trash that they charged me $11.00 for. Oh yeah these Chinese Hustlers want you to TIP THEM 25% for a Carry Out. order of Sh.... Don't waste your hard earned money here. This place is an absolute FARCE FOR CHINESE

so I made a order and had somebody go pick it up because I had surgery today. My order was completely wrong. I called them to let them know that it was wrong and that I had surgery so I couldn't come exchange it. They told me that I needed to not eat the food and bring it back to exchange it tomorrow, so I guess myself and kids all just supposed to starve. Not a I'm sorry. nothing.
