First time visiting Taqueria Habaneros. The staff was friendly and quick. The food was amazing across the board. We had Birria Pizza and tacos, all of which had great flavor. We also had a chicken jalapeno burrito and menudo. All the food was prepped and delivered quicker thank any other Mexican restaurant that I've been to. Would totally recommend if you like Mexican food!

We wanted a quick dinner and the food was great. Menu is a little limited (I'm not a beef or seafood fan) but I got the chicken enchiladas and my mom got the pork tamales. Both were yummy! Oh and the flan is a must! So delicious! Our server was friendly and the restaurant was clean.

Stopped by while in the New Orleans area. The Yelp reviews led us here. Everything on the menu was Very pricey for this location. The enchilada platters looked enticing, so we ordered a variety of them. The flavors were interesting, but overall lacked flavor and anything memorable. Was certainly expecting more of an array of flavors. Maybe should have tried the birria tacos, which other reviews mostly highlighted. There was an upcharge for chips and salsa, and the iced tea was out of a dispenser. Would look for a different option if back in the area. 3.5 stars.

Taqueria Habaneros is a fantastic place for some wonderful food in Slidell, Louisiana. The birria here is absolutely amazing and the service is friendly and engaging. I have often said that the best Mexican food is found in hole-in-the-wall type restaurants such as Taqueria Habaneros. This place is nothing fancy, but that's perfectly fine. The food here is the real star of the show here.All in all, Taqueria Habaneros is a great choice for Mexican food if you are in the Slidell, Louisiana area. I would definitely recommend here and I give it an overall review of five stars. Go check it out.

We're from California and we know good Mexican food. This place is good and pretty authentic. We love the Barria tacos!!! I tried the enchiladas and they were good, but really needed to be kicked up. Along with the rice and beans it all really needed a bit more spice. It's a cute little place with plenty of seating. We saw a lot of people coming in for some kind of Mexican pizza so it looks like we need to try that next time. Over all better than most Mexican food around town.

Taqueria Habaneros is hands-down the greatest Mexican restaurant in the universe -- and yes I checked all of them in existence both open and closed. The service is always quick and easy and polite, the food (specifically the birria ANYTHING) is stellar, and don't even get me started on the flan... definitely a religious experience and I'll never be the same (in the best way possible). It has authentic vibes and is so cozy. When you're telling yourself you don't need to go out for food because you just got groceries, ignore that voice in your head and drive straight to Taqueria Habaneros and get a birria pizza for the whole family. GO TODAY!!!
