Great experiences with both purchases I've made over the last couple years. I have visited the gallery multiple times when on vacation in New Orleans. Stopping in is always a highlight of my walks through the French Quarter.My first purchase was 60x40 "Murder In the Dark". This piece I had shipped to me in Chicago. I was very impressed with packaging. I absolutely love this piece to the point of it being the centerpiece of my bedroom.My second purchase was 5x5 of one of Tanner's 12 new originals. This was purchased with the help of Lindsey over FB and the phone. I tuned into the live FB feed of the unveiling and knew my wife would love this piece. Lindsey was awesome to work with. I received notice of shipping the same day as purchase which was not expected yet appreciated. I love Tanner's work. His pieces are easy for me to get lost in. New Orleans is one of my favorite places and the couple pieces I've purchased give me a connection to this city I love.I recommend stopping in or staring through the windows when you walk down Royal in the French Quarter. Friendly staff and exceptional artwork.

This was my FAVORITE gallery on Dirty Linen Night.For starters, I LOVE any type of art that has a spooky twist. It has nothing to do with Halloween: I'm a year round, spooky decor type of person. The art here is right up my alley: leafless trees silhouetted against a dark, or dimly lit sky, moss hanging off of cypress trees in the shadows. The paintings make you feel as if you're looking out of a window onto a swampy scene at midnight. There was one piece that I particularly loved of shadowy trees against a red background. The forest seemed to call for you to come explore. In a perfect world I would have endless walls on which to hang all of the art that I covet. Until then, I'll have to make due with admiring these lovely works at Tanner Gallery.

Tanner produces some of the most gorgeous art I've ever seen. Just breathtaking- and the studio is set up perfectly to display it. On our last visit to NOLA, our little crew of intrepid adventurers wandered in just to look around and ended up buying several pieces of art. It is haunting indeed- the most notable feature of the paintings is how they change based on the lighting in the room. Gorgeous!Most of the paintings come in a variety of sizes for your hanging needs, and while it's not cheap, well.... we didn't pause at the price enough to /not/ buy. The gentleman who was working the gallery that day was incredibly friendly, attentive, and polite, offering us drinks and giving us details about the art and artist in such a way that we didn't feel pressured to buy at all. And it was just wonderful to look around the gallery. Will certainly go back and buy more next time I'm in that part of the country. The paintings arrived shortly after we got home, packaged perfectly, no damage or issues, and look wonderful on my walls. Very happy.

Complex, haunting and always beautiful work. Difficult to leave empty handed. Wonderfully unique art that must be seen!

Stunning! You can buy numbered prints, limited high-rez photo on canvas pieces or if you are lucky the original painting. I bought an original painting and love it. Great gallery on Royal.

We stopped in this gallery while wandering around the streets in a Friday afternoon. I am glad we stopped in his art work is beautiful. The lady that was working the gallery was super helpful she showed us how all his paintings are layered, and when she turned down the lights in the painting it was like the whole thing changed...I loved it. I think we may stop back in a buying something these are very unique works of art.

The most beautiful gallery in the Quarter. Tanner is a kind and extremely talented man. We purchased two paintings and three prints. Tanner gave us great advice on framing. Both pieces look perfect in our home gallery. The prints are perfect through out our home. Stop in Tanner Original Art and have a wonderful experience.

Tanner Gallery is one of my favorites places to go in the French Quarter. His paintings are so beautiful - I wish I could buy them all! There is a lot of wonderful art in New Orleans but Tanner's work is my favorite. The artwork sets a mood and brings a sense of mystery to any space.
