Taco Fuego

Taco Fuego (which, confusingly, is now a fried food and wing place and not a taco place), will outright steal from you. They are predatory thieves robbing tourists. Allow me to explain.So, I ordered a $15 food item and an $8 Negro Modelo beer. That's $23, right? Except they didn't include tax. No biggie, right? That's usually in the bill, but sometimes not. Except the "tax" was $2.40, or an absurd 10.2%. No other bar charged this, so even though this larceny is apprently the actual tax rate in New Orleans for food, it really should be listed.But then, there was a $4.60 "service charge"! Like, you build in a 20% tip to individual purchases and then try to hide it? Classy. I kinda laughed when I saw that there was an additional tip line. I'm like, yeah, you paid yourselves already.But wait! There's more! Then they added a $1.20 fee for paying with a credit card. Like, for real, I'm not making this up. So, my $23 purchase came up at $32.71! The food wasn't actually terrible, but avoid this scam at all costs. It's one of those things that's almost certainly illegal, but drunk tourists will overlook or otherwise ignore these things. It's not worth dying on the hill of a few bucks, but it is worth going somewhere else.

Tacos, SO BLAND. I was so disappointed when I tasted the food because I had high expectations. The photos made the food look delicious and all I saw at the moment were 5 star reviews. There is nothing "fuego" about this place. I do not recommend.

The food here is so gross! The staff was friendly but the food was downright nasty. The taco meat tasted like it came out of one of those industrial size preseasoned ground meat bags like they use at schools. The salsa tasted like marinara sauce. Taco Bell even puts this food to shame. And it's expensive. Two burrito bowls, a tea and water was over $60! Do yourself favor and walk right on by this place.

The service was quick. The food was good and the drinks were strong. Stop by fir a fun drink!

Absolutely the blandest tacos I've experienced in my life. Dry, flavorless tortillas, unseasoned flavorless chicken, and salsa with a little bit of heat but hardly any flavor. The most flavorful thing on the plate was the little bit of lime juice that I got from squeezing the little included like wedges. Served in a styrofoam to-go container even when sitting down. This place makes Taco Bell look authentic.

The tacos are good and the staff is so nice!! If you're looking for somewhere quick on Bourbon, this is the place! Beware of the salsa though, it's HOT. And I love hot sauce
