4/5 this is a cute date. next year, let's make this a date. I love browsing all the sections, think of it like a long walk on a book beach. things are pretty well arranged with most books presented on their spine. from fiction to nonfiction/memoirs to academic to "votech" to cookbooks. list goes on and all with most things priced at $1 or $2. There are also specialty tables (vintage collector pieces, comics, etc.) and some artwork - tip: even if you don't like the art, think about reusing the frame! the print might not be your taste, but it could hold your other masterpiece. the volunteers keep things orderly and help out with a smile. Totally looking forward to next year!!ps. You can find lgbt themed stuff throughout, from psych/socko stuff to straight up anthologies of "special stories". I like how during checkout there was not a skipped beat - these ladies have seen it all and weren't scandalized by my discoveries ;)

The address listed here is the donation center which has odd hours and you can only drop off books. The actual fair is this weekend! (May 15-17). And what a great deal. You can find tons of great finds for cheap (and lots of trash for even cheaper). Usually, it's not just limited to books, but also art prints and music. This years fair is located at Delgado. Go check it out.http://lpomusic.com/index.php?q=node/309Just got back. Scored art books, novels, cookbooks (inc. vintage pamphlet from MS for $10). Pawed through the sheet music but nothing really sang to me.

Good book fair, tons of books to peruse, you could spend hours wandering the aisles. Lots of media beyond books as well, including music, magazines, and print. A must-attend for the bibliophile. Only giving it 4 stars because the campus was not well-marked with directions about where to go to find the sale; you'd think they would put up some signs or balloons or something so you know where to go! Books were also not as dirt-cheap as you can find in some thrift stores, but considering it's a fundraiser for the Symphony it's an acceptable trade-off.
