OMGEEEE! Had the best time at Swoot. One of my friends recommended Swoot over a year ago-- I passed this place often and kept telling myself I would go. Decided to go on yesterday for a Slow Burn class and it was EVERYTHING!! I actually felt more of a workout during that class than I did at the gym w| my trainer. Made sure to book another class w|in upcoming days! This gym is located Uptown right in the Garden District on Magazine. Great location, great instructors, an entire vibe!

Recently took a Friday Night spin class with Sophia and it was everything. I was visiting New Orleans for my annual birthday trip and needed to sweat off all the overindulge over the last two nights. Swoot also offers other group fitness workouts - 7 different types. It's located right off Magazine Street so if you are staying near the CBD/French Quarter, you can easily take a ride-share or even the street car with a short walk. Luckily they are on class pass and I think gym pass as well. I used class pass credits for this class. Check-in was great and the facility has a this nice neon/dark light theme to it. There's a picturesque hallway that takes you to the lockers and you there are two main rooms off the hallway for the classes. If you are taking a spin class, the shoe rental is included as well. This week's theme was Skrillex and Friends. All bangers too. The energy was high for a Friday and matched the intensity of the music. Definitely got a second wind after class and the drinks to close the class was a nice touch. Also they have the best merch that I'm pinching myself for not getting - next time.

Jon is AMAZING! His energy is unparalleled. You feel he loves this ish! One thing I came to highlight about this studio is their level of hospitality and customer sensitivity- I appreciate it and it goes a long way!!! I've experienced other studios in the area that are strict on policy to the detriment of business. No shade, but maybe that's the reason some of the others haven't stood the tests of time. For example - class start times and closing the door when a person is ..let's say 1 minute late? Swoot shows excellent grace and at the same time, it doesn't interfere with the experience for others. Everyone seems to be on the same frequency. It works because Cycle enthusiast are typically spirited, health conscious, maybe even hippie -go-with the flow type personalities, so they get it and know their market! They definitely still practice great policies that respect and honor their community - but it's clear that they prioritize hospitality. They are THE best in New Orleans and here to stay.

Swoot is great. There is a good amount of variability in instructor style, so you can likely find someone that works for you. I really enjoy Jon for spin, Jon and Fayola were both great for Slow Burn, and I've heard that Ronald is great for snatched; but, again, you gotta find who works for you! Jon is also just an overall good guy; always smiling, doing what he can to improve, and a compassionate instructor. The facility itself is really nice, clean, new, and well kept. The hall between the main entrance and the back exercise rooms/changing areas is lit up like a rainbow and really cool and instagrammable and adds to the fun atmosphere. Even the swag/clothes they sell is pretty cool with unique designs, and some items are Lululemon. There are some small areas for improvement, but overall, I think Swoot hit the proverbial nail on the head.

In town for a visit and wanted a good workout. Tried the Burn Class and was very impressed. The teacher was great, the class was small so we got lots of attention. It was challenging but super fun. The gym is new and beautiful! So clean and the staff are very welcoming. I will absolutely be back next time I'm I. The area and need a good sweat sesh. Absolutely recommend!

I can't say enough great things about Swoot. I took the 7 am slow burn class by Jon Sloan and it was amazing! This was my first time trying out a Pilates class and I went by myself so I was a bit nervous going in there but everyone was very nice. The class was described as a Lagree Method Pilates class ( high intensity, low impact ). Jon was a great instructor, he showed us how to do each movement and a modified technique if it was a little too hard. The playlist was upbeat and with his motivational energy, it was a great way to start off my Monday morning. I was sore for days and I can definitely say as a person that has weightlifted for the past 4 years, it was a very humbling experience . I've started trying a few other fitness studios in the city and it doesn't compare to Swoot. I can't wait to come back!
